Posted - 09/24/2009 : 09:29:32 I would like to keep this for the members that own and carry Glocks as their EDC. I realize that XD's and M&P's work very similarly but for just this post I would like to keep it focused on Glocks. How many of you carry a Glock everyday for concealed carry? Which Glock did you choose and why?
I am in a toss up between several different guns right now but I am pretty interested in a Glock, I just don't want to spend out all my money and get home with something I will get tired of in a month. Right now my only handguns are two 1911's one of which never leaves the safe other than for a little range time so my only carry guns are my Springfield MilSpec and a Taurus 85UL. I can conceal the 1911 but it is pretty much a winter carry if I want to conceal carry, I do open carry sometimes but it isn't my preffered carry method. The Taurus is great for deep concealment, but only 5 shots of 38spl is lacking.
So if I were to get a Glock my thoughts are so far: A G19, G23, G30, or G36 I have pros and cons for all of them.
Of all you that carry Glocks every day, which model did you choose and why? Thanks |

Posted - 08/08/2012 : 16:39:01 Glock 36 is my primary EDC "winter" gun although I occasionally will carry my Colt 1991 A1 for nostalgia. Being retired is great! I can pick which gun to carry vs. being mandated by my Agency to carry a specific gun! |

Posted - 01/22/2010 : 15:36:16 Glock 27 in a iwb crossbreed super tuck with 2 glock 22 hi-cap mags on ankle holds 9 in mag and 1 in tube and each hi cap holds 15 so there is no worry of not enough ammo at 40 rounds. The glock 27 is an extremely accurate pistol for its size. |

Posted - 01/22/2010 : 08:31:09 I like a few here like the feel of a full size auto. I carry the Glock 22 daily. Someday I will invest in a .357Sig barrel and mags for it but until then I am a pretty good shot with a .40. |

Posted - 01/20/2010 : 20:03:33 Glock 19. Every Day! I Switched from a 17 because I like the "Commander" size Pistol Better for all around use. The 17 was just too big for an Ankle rig, but the 19 fits snug and thin into a Renegade Elastic holster. It;s Great for "Mexican" carry tucked in belt line, or inside the waist at 1 O'Clock position. It has MORE than enough firepower with 15 shots..When I work I carry two extra 17 mags...and the Pistol is held in either a Milt Sparks Summer Special or a Speed Scabbard on the Belt behind the hip.
God Bless and Stay Safe. "Captain" |

Posted - 10/25/2009 : 07:22:40 Glock 30 usually, various holsters (I am a holster slut) Extra mag in my pocket, three more if I have an attache case or bailout bag with me.
Sometimes a Sprongfield Armory 1911 "Loaded" if my clothing will let me hide it.. Extra mag in the pocket with one and three more bags if I have a bag. |

Posted - 10/21/2009 : 10:16:20 Now that winter is coming, I've been trying to carry my G19 more often in my Kholster. It seems big on my side compared to my Firestar M40. |

G26 at 4 o'clock. Crimson Trace trigger guard laser. 10, 12, 15 shot mags. Alabama Holster kydex. Hides under t-shirt. 2000 rounds through it, never a hiccup. |

Might have to shoot a G27, I like the .40 cartridge (own an XD-40) and would like see how it handles. :)
You'll love it. I love mine. And mine is a transformer. I just pop in a 13 round mag and it magically transforms into a G23.
Congrats bwatkins. Nice selection. |

Posted - 10/13/2009 : 17:10:26 From what I hear the XD "feels" better than the Glock, but I have heard a lot of people say the Glock's are more enjoyable to shoot. I can't say much because I have only held an XD, never shot one. |

Posted - 10/13/2009 : 09:21:23 My EDC is a Glock 19 in the MTAC. I liked the size vs capacity. The larger frame was just a bit too big with the 17 or the 22 for my EDC. I like the 9mm plus I already had a lot of ammo which was a plus. I have no problem at all with the MTAC for concealment. The weight is very light and I often forget that it is there. I also like knowing that if I ever need it, it will go BANG every time!!! I did add the NY1 trigger since it is my EDC along with the Trijicon sites. If you like the 9mm, you can't beat the 19. |

Posted - 10/12/2009 : 12:12:08 I currently carry my G27 with two extra magazines. Never had an problems with it and easy to conceal. I have just purchased a G23 (couldn't pass on the price), so my carry weapon may change once I get to the range with it. |
