Posted - 03/25/2012 : 11:53:54 Everyone, I think ive made up my mind. Im going in and trading in my fnp40 and picking up a new glock 19. Ive been wanting one for awhile now and just didnt commit. My main reasoning is that the glock is easier for me to conceal daily than the fnp after trial and error. I carried my friends Glock 23 for a week and it was just part of me. And not to mention glock has so many options for accessories. Its time to cross over to the glockside |

Posted - 03/27/2012 : 10:24:14 FNP Series are very light, but are full size duty handguns. Glocks are just a whole bunch easier to carry and conceal.....now the new FNS is another story entirely. FN has a winner with the new FNS....and I think they are coming out with a subcompact version. Trigger is just to freaking die for.... |

Posted - 03/27/2012 : 05:17:00 Yes, welcome to the darkside!
I had a few minutes to spare yesterday and stopped into one of the local gs's. They had some recent LEO trade ins. Very clean inside, with some ext holster wear. A G21, 22, and 23. So, finally the chance to get my G21!
But I wavered. I really like the two .40's better. That double stack .45 really is a handful. I think I will go back today and snag one of the .40's. |

Posted - 03/27/2012 : 04:56:07 For the life of me, I CANNOT get used to the Glock grip angle. I've owned a couple of them and the last one I had (Glock 17) I wound up giving to my dad cause he can shoot it much better than me. I simply cannot hit the side of a barn with one. Glock makes an awesome weapon and I just wish I could learn to use it. |

Posted - 03/26/2012 : 13:43:51 You might also consider a Glock 23 in .40 S&W and purchasing a Lone Wolf barrel for a .40 to 9mm conversion http://www.lonewolfdist.com/Detail.aspx?PROD=983&CAT=241. Purchase a few 9mm Glock magazines and then you can shoot 9mm and .40 S&W. This is possible because the 19 and 23 are essentially the same gun with different magazines and barrels. Not knocking the 19 (I have a Gen3 19), but this way you can get the most out of a single pistol for $150 more. |

Posted - 03/25/2012 : 12:56:35 The G19 is such a great all around gun. Even though I am a 1911 nut, I still have time for my Glock 19. It carries so well and the 15+1 capacity is just a plus. Inexpensive, relialbe, cheap mags and parts and everyone carries Glock stuff.
The darkside will welcome you with open arms |
