I did not realize there were "those" pictures on here, but thanks anyway, and it will keep me from getting in trouble with the wife down the road.

Agreed, and I am guilty of doing it once for which I take full responsibility.

I really don't get why you are having such an attitude about this forum. I am a new member here and before I signed up I was "browsing" through for about month or so.
I have also visited other sites which I don't want name right now and I have determined that this forum offers the best and the most reliable info.
The forum owner simply outlined that posting "on the edge" images depicting woman is unacceptable here. You do realize that this forum has many female members that might find those images offensive, rightfully so.
My wife and sometimes my oldest son sit with me and read through the posts, and I would not like him or her seeing anything inappropriate.

you have just hit on the exact reason for this respectful request. i love scantily clad feminine beauty as much as anybody, but there is a time and a place for it.

...if the female members of this forum started posting nearly nude pictures of male models (like me ), i dont think the male membership would like it too much.

this is just simple common courtesy which is why it was presented as a respectful request and not an iron rule. surely as reasonable adults we can gather without going out of our way to alienate others.

At my age I am more interested in guns than in nude photos, so that is why I am here!

If I wanted to look at nude women I would go somewhere else. I don't really see any of this forum's policies any worse than any others I've been on. I used to mod a fish tank forum and that was insanely strict, tons more rules than you will find here. I've seen people with heads blown off by themselves with shotguns, people who have poured gas on themselves and lit themself on fire and lived. Don't assume that because this isn't the place for oscene stuff, that we are afraid of the taking of human life. Many here have served in the military and done plenty of it.

The thread is titled "Respectful Request" not "Be disrespectful and get yourself banned after being warned rather politely."

I like most others here probably view these forums while at work. If works software finds a picture that is questionable, the entire site would then be blocked, and a notice would be sent to my boss for explanations.

I'm with you Nathan. Besides, I found out my wife reads this forum as much as I do since I saved it on favorites. She's really getting into it, and wants to go to the range. (The Army Brat in her finally came to the surface.)

Just to add to the point....Great site..it's the only one I use. sometimes I may do a google search and it takes me to other forums that seem to preach the exact opposite as this forum and it really makes me appreciate the wealth of knowledge found here.

Anyhow, on the point of not offending women here....I totally agree with women needing to carry and feel that they may need to carry more so than men since they make easier targets especially when alone. I have my wife on the fence when it comes to her getting her carry permit and when I give her info on why and such I open up this forum(and only this forum) to back up that information and it would diminish any results if I opened up one of the topics to only end up showing her explicit material. Thanks to all for making this forum the forum it is..Extra praise to Nathan and all of his hard work that goes into it.

Guys, those few of you that appear to have a problem with Nathan's request -- and note that he doesn't have to request, since as admin he can nuke your account with a mouse click -- I think you need to grow out of the puberty phase of life.

I am slowly getting my wife comfortable with me carrying. (Which she is...) While I am really learning a lot about CCW, I really need her not to get turned off by the idea. I am hoping that at some point she will say, that she wants that safety too.
I am with you 100% on this issue!
Thanks,
Joe

Hey Nathan,

This is a great request. I would love it if my wife would get involved with a forum like this one where she could see the benefit of concealed carry and not just focus on how 'nerve-wracking' it may be. But certainly making it more appealing to women is the only way to get that accomplished!
