And if the cabin door of the freedman is broken open and the intruder enters for purposes as vile as were known to slavery, then should a well-loaded musket be in the hand of the occupant to send the pol-luted wretch to another world, where his wretched-ness will forever remain complete.”

I was going to eat her and then call you to come and clean up the mess. I'm sure you know how to cover up an "accident."

"Nice acquisition!" "Great score!" "Excellent choice in firearm!"

or...

"Congratulations on the new baby!"

if someone finds and snags a weapon that is hard to come by, or gets a lucrative deal on something that theyve been looking for then i can see where there may some sense of accomplishment, however serendipitous it may be... perhaps a congrats for the stroke of luck and/or sniffing skills in finding the item are in order.

agreed though i dont find anything particularly monumental about consuming in general.

If you trade hours for dollars, really you didn't spend money... You spent X amount of work hours. Let's compare: If it takes me a week to build a beautiful wood cabinet (no I don't build cabinets) and I post a picture of it, would you congratulate me on a job well done? Money is just the means to an end, whether that end is a new gun or retirement doesn't matter. In the end it's still just money.
