Hope the link works. Anyone tried this light out? Seems very innovative and the output is impressive.

They have been advertising alot, but I've yet to see anyone actually with the light. I'm no expert, but I there has gotta be some kind of catch. The light can't be that bright or last that long, and only need such a short time to recharge...I'm sticking with Streamlight. JMO

Never having to buy batteries IS the reach-around.

Promising technology, but still to new, too weak, to expensive, IMO.

Not if you already own rechargables or have a light that you just shake to generate electricity....

i wanna know how sitting idle affects the charge.
if i charge it for 90 seconds and then let it sit for a week then what are the stats?

i know i know a sales rep should be here to say 'but it only takes 90 SECONDS to charge again so who cares?'

but thats not the point. i may not have 90 seconds. and remembering to plug something in every X period of time can be more of a pain in the ass than batteries.

so yeah i think its a great idea in principle but not for me.

I AGREE that it's WAY to pricey for what it is. I'm sure the price will come down soon. As far as how it's able to run for so long on such a short charge -- this thing has three HUGE capacitors inside. I'm sure they can really pack the electrons in. However, my Mag/MiniMag lights work just fine for me for now.
