I have been looking at getting a crossdraw vest for camping, hunting, shtf, zombies, etc...
I don't want to spend a whole lot on one, there are some I am looking at around 50-60$
Just curious if you all use them? and if you have some recomendations.

The Sportsman's Guide has some on sale right now that look very, very nice. Definitely in your price range. I have several vests I wear regularly. I get some "are you going fishing" stupid comments, but I can carry all kinds of stuff very comfortably and I don't care if people don't like them!

To imagine a world with no guns is to imagine a world in which the strong rule the weak, in which women are dominated by men, and in which minorities are easily abused or mass-murdered by majorities. Practically speaking, a firearm is the only weapon that allows a weaker person to defend himself from a larger, stronger group of attackers, and to do so at a distance.

One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced nor objectively interpreted and you create a nation of law-breakers.

I have two of them actually, both in black, my expensive one is a Tactical Elite by Blackhawk and was 180 bucks. I got it for some 3 gun training that I did.

My other one is a $50.00 Leapers brand like this one at the link, the quality is pretty different as the Blackhawk feels really " sturdy " and the Leapers is not as sturdy but in a SHTF situation I feel it would hold up well. My friends play paintball and wear the leapers ones and they have held up well in timber play

Thanks for the link. That site looks cool, I would much rather get it from them rather than CTD. I wish Midway would redo their website...I am somewhat computer savy but even their site can get confusing to me...

if you want to make it better just picture me, the vest, an AR15, a mossberg 590, and a Glock 19, a BUNCH of mags for each, 300+ rounds of 9mm, 223, and 12 gauge 00 buck shot ammo and a HUGE grin on my face lol

oh and my ol trusty Surefire close by lol

See, Sarge, now this is what you need. It would totally eliminate the "going fishing?" questions. I guarantee it.

I bought this one from Midway last month. Woolrich Elite Discreet carry vest

It is very nice and the pockets are large enough to conceal a small auto or revolver given that you have a pocket holster for it. It may make it sag but you can even the weight out by carrying a flashlight and spare mag in the opposite side.

Well I ordered one from CTD. It is a MOLLE crossdraw system with several rifle and pistol mag pouches and removable holster, grab handle, shotgun shell holder or throw all for stuff. Fully adjustable with pistol belt with other storage.
I got a MOLLE wallet pouch for the vest as well. While the vest won't get used very much, I will be trying it out when I go south camping and see how this CTD vest will hold up, I am kinda interested in the quality. It should be here tomorrow or Thurs so we will see.
