With the amount of "descent" this forum has been getting from NEW MEMBERS about the TOS, the attitude exhibited when they are challenged for posting against the TOS, and the fact that many of them have posted NO CONTACT INFORMATION! maybe it's time to have their initial posts reviewed before they start some of the  storm that has been happening here lately! There seems to be an attitude from some new members that it's up to them to argue for changing the TOS! My English friends would call that "cheeky" at best.
We have lost, or possibly lost, several members as Nate mentioned because of a recent thread, that in my opinion should never have been allowed to grow into what it did.

| I know it CAN be done, but admittedly don't know how much work is involved in doing so, but perhaps lock/restrict new users' first post to the "New Members" forum? |

| I don't know much about setting up websites and what it takes, but one that I use to pay a bill of mine made me type my name at the end of the TOS section (had to sroll through to the end to get to that point which made me read it) before it would go to the next screen. That electronic signature was my agreement to conform to the TOS. Maybe make it clear in that section that any violation means "too bad so sad". |

gentlemen,
i certainly appreciate that you guys care so much about the forum; i truly do. know that there are things going on behind the scenes that may not be apparent to you at this point but they will benefit you down the road. it is a crime to intentionally harass a group such as this one and if a pattern of harassment is established (through multiple accounts to cause trouble for exampe) it warrants further action by the proper authorities. sometimes when you see things happen and the moderators dont edit it fast enough, consider the possibility that it is left as is until law enforcement can save an unedited copy. its a shame that some have taken it this far but that is the case and i will not waiver in my efforts to insure the integrity of this forum.
as i type this i am literally laying in the emergency room at the hospital (probably breaking a dozen or so rules) so know that fixing our forum is a top priority with me. |

I just got home from the VA hospital in Detroit, There is something about that blue dress that really makes me uncomfortable, Maybe its cuz its a "dress" and I dont like to wear dresses. Could also have something to do with the opening being in the back and it makes me feel a little vulnerable. anywhoo.....was there for an MRI, I have had a problem with headaches for a long time but latley they don't go away, finally went to see the doc for the MRI.....I was suprised to get a phone call before I even made it home. Doc told me sinusitis or some crap like that and hopefully the antibiotics will work, I'm sick of dealing with these  ing headaches.
Im not sure whats ailing you Nathan, but I pray for you and also the Doctors to have the knowledge to make you better. |

We watch, we see, and we are trying to keep it hassle free and keep the crap to a minimum. We don't like that junk any more than ya'll do.

We appreciate it Tena and the other Mods. It can't be easy reading or having someone read for you (TED  ) all of the things that go on here, let alone decipher, shut off your own opinion and make a decision for the masses. It is and will always be a thankless job unfortunately.

Get well! As a moderator of a much smaller group, I understand some of the challenges faced in striking a balance between a lively forum and keeping order. Unfortunately in my subject area, I usually end up with a dull forum! Again, get well, you will be in my prayers. |
