I have always had a 20ga youth model 870 with mag extension on it. Now I finally broke down and bought a used Moss500 pistol-grip pump action. Cost me $240 including tax and a box of shells. I just ordered the top-side tac rail, front tri tac rail, side mount shell holder and a sweet 200 lumen tac light to mount. Here is a picture of the unmolested gun. Once I get the stuff put on I will post another picture. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Sorry pic isnt the best I only have a phone camera, I spend all my $ on gun stuff...

Can't beat a Mosberg 500 for price and reliability. But I'm not a fan of pistol grips though. Get ya some 00 Buck and you will be set.

Nice! That thing is a beast with a pistol grip though. Make sure you take it to the range before using it for HD. You may find that you want to install a full stock...I did.

Went and shot it with some #8 bird load shells. It took care of the halloween pumpkins I had left. Its not all that rough to shoot. My Fiance loved it! I can see that there would be an issue if not shooting form the hip though(lost teeth video)... I cleaned and oiled with Mobil1!
I am very happy with my purchase, only 1 more day for the CheaperThanDirt.com order, according to FEDEX tracking. Damn they get stuff out the door fast...
Once I put the toys on it I will post more pics. I will use the fiance's camera so you can auctually see it...

The 00 buckshot might be a little rougher.

Went to a sports store that was going out of business. Bought all the 556 and 9mm ammo they had. While I was waiting for the guy to get ammo from the back, a guy bought a 500 (fine shotguns) and 12 y.o. son ask why it came with a pistol grip and full stock. I told him once he shot the pistol grip he'd put on the full stock. Now for home defense, that's another story. You won't be worried about recoil when you stand between trouble and your family.
