not exactly true, sir. dont forget about the 7.65x21 that was also available in the original hi-power.
Never heard of the HP in .32 ACP caliber. When was that? |

I agree. Even the .44 mag Blackhawk in the right circumstances. Only the Woodsman and, to date, the .44 Blackhawk haven't been. Even carried the .357 Blackhawk once and would again out in the sticks. |

its not .32 acp, its the .30 luger. CLICK HERE, it states: "Several handguns have been manufactured in this caliber for commercial sale in countries that restrict civilian ownership of firearms in military calibers. Examples include the Benelli B80, Browning Hi-Power, Astra A-80, and Ruger P94."
there is also some discussion about it on our sister site HiPowerTalk.com. ill search for it later; im taking the new glock to the range in 15 minutes. |

| In Europe, the .32ACP is called 7.65, that's what I was thinking. MM to caliber conversions are often confusing. |

JMB was rolling over in his grave when Nate posted that. Whatever happened to the .357 SIG conversion? |

i havent followed through, and honestly dont know if i will at this point due to the limited capacity of the hi-power in .40. the M&P 357 sig im carrying right now holds 16 rounds in essentially the same size grip. |

Always a tradeoff now, when the poly pistols carry so many rounds. Of course, the 1911 is even more extreme when compared to an XD/M M&P, etc. for capacity in .45. Still, HPs reload as quickly as any pistol out there so that mitigates the lower capacity to some degree. I really like the .357 SIG ballistics, but the price and no inexpensive target rounds are the downside. |

the ballistic properties are what makes it worth the expense for me. i know you love the 125 grain .357 magnum....the 125 grain 357 sig is nearly identical, at least in commercially produced loads. in fact, in commercially produced loads the original 357 sig specs (125 grains @ 1450 fps) exceeds comparable commercially produced .357 magnum @125 grain loads.
sadly, most of the industry has neutered most 357 sig loads, downgrading it to 125 grains at 1350 fps, but you can still get the good stuff. corbon 125 grain 357 sig is published at 1400 fps but always chronos in excess of 1450 for me. there are also others available online that are loaded to potential. im currently carrying 357 sig in 147 grains @ 1200-1250 fps. its a hard hitter. |
