Has anyone shot, tested or otherwise fired one of these handguns?
Bersa has an outstanding reputation for a weapon with flawless function and accuracy. I would like to purchase one of these as a CCW. Plenty of power, compact and affordable.
Your opinions and experiences are appreciated. Thank you, Bowhunter57 |

I have the 9mm transition model in matte finish that has all the pro features but does not say "Pro" on the slide. It is a great shooter - very reliable and very accurate.
Recently I bought an M&P 45c with the intention of selling a couple of guns to finance it, one of which was my Bersa. I could NOT bring myself to part with it.
For the money, it's one of the best values on the market. |

| I have only heard good things about Bersa so I don't think you will go wrong. I've handled the unmentionable caliber before and it felt nice and solid. A co-worker of mine has the .45 version and seems to like it well. They do seem to be a good gun for the money. |
It's been a rruufff day.

Thank you, to all that have replied and I do appreciate the input, on the Bersa. After physically handling this handgun, I noticed the first shot is DA only or the hammer has to be cocked. Since the trigger pull feels like 8#, I'll pass on this one.
I don't feel comfortable with the heavy trigger pull for the first shot, nor do I care for the "cocked and locked" position, since there's no safety.
Again, thanks to everyone. Good hunting, Bowhunter57 |

I've been carrying mine for about 6 months now and I love it! It's small, compact, and as you say, powerful! Now just as that character Gus McCrae, said in the Lonesome Dove movie, "I tend to favor a gun with a little heft!" My Bersa Thunder 45 is a beefy, hefty and very well made 45. She's a solid made double stack so that should give you a clue to what I'm talking about! She's real easy to pull and POA shoot! Some people don't like the heavier first shot pull from the trigger. I kind of like it 'cause of the assuredness it gives me when I pull the trigger. In other words, "Do I have to shoot here?" I know that to pull the weapon means I plan to shoot, but there's a split second more to decide to shoot. An example would be if the perp throws up his hands at the last second as he sees that big 'ol muzzle pointed at his nose! I have another chance to not have shoot his dumb butt! Good luck in what ever you decide! |

| Is that safety and break down levers on both sides? They're connected? |

Ambidextrous safety/decocker and slide lock/release. Break down lever on left side only. Mag release is reversible for left-hand shooters.
Man, I sure wish I could find one of the stainless models. |
