Hi! I'm new to the forum, guns and concealed carry. So please bear with my learning A recent incident prompted my purchase of a S&W 38 snub nose (642) with crimson trace laser. I'm hooked I'm still getting comfortable with shooting, but love this gun. I have applied for my concealed carry and read "CorneredCat". I decided not to carry in my purse after reading corneredcat. So now I'm trying to find a IWB holster that would work for me. Any ideas?

Welcome to the family. This site is here exactly for people to learn, so as any question you man have, no matter how silly you may think it is.

Great purchase on the 642, it's a beautiful shooter and carry piece. Glad you already found the cornered cat too, great reading site.

As for a IWB holster, it really depends on your dress style. If you wear pants and a belt with an untucked shirt, I'd go with a Milt Sparks VM2, TTGunleather IWB, or a Lou Alessi holster.

There are many other options out there, but again, it depends on your clothes.

Welcome from the Florida Keys. Great choice in a hand gun and having read Cornered Cat. There is some great information for both genders at that site. You may want to repost your holster question in "The Ladies of CCF" section. PressPass (one for our ladies) will be glad to share her experience and I know she agrees with your decision NOT to purse carry.

Welcome. I like carrying in an mtac by minotaur because it is extremely adjustable. I stole mine from my husband. I also like carrying in a Renegade ankle holster. This takes some getting used to, but in every season but summer it is my favorite. No one looks at your ankles, and people dont bump your rig if the hug you or pat you. Kids dont bump up against it, and neither does your purse. Dressing around it isnt that big of a deal (no skinny jeans. Flared, boot cut or dress pants...they all work). Carrying in a purse is a bad idea. I'm glad you have decided against it.

Welcome from Pennsylvannia. I carry a S&W 360 M&P snubby myself and rather fond of it. Don't even realize I'm carrying it sometimes. I currently use an Uncle Mikes IWB holster made of a soft velvet like materail. Worn it so many times it's formed to the revolver but is very comfortable.
