hello all, I currently carry @ 3 o'clock iwb but will be having my right leg amputated below the knee on wednesday. i will be in a wheelchair for at least a couple of months and was looking for advise and suggestions on the best way to carry. not a big fan of fannypacks and have a rather round waistline so aiwb tends to print anyway. thanks in advance for any ideas!

How about a cross draw setup with your shirt laid over it to conceal? This method works well when seated.

I'm in a mobility chair and I use a cross draw set up with a shirt out to cover it.

Hey all, new to the site here and also wheelchair bound. I'm still waiting to receive my concealed license... 13 weeks and counting... Anyway, I'm also trying to figure out the best way to carry. My chair doesn't give much room for access to my hip and I'm somewhat of a "fluffy" guy, so I'm thinking maybe a shoulder rig. To me a fanny pack screams one of two things, one of them being "concealed handgun." Also, I definitely don't want something that attaches to my chair, I'd hate to get tossed out and separated from my weapon. Thoughts and insight greatly appreciated.

I have found out that a fanny pack only screams "gun" at a gun show. I use mine quite a bit at Wally World and eating establishments with never a problem. You just have to be careful when you get your wallet out to not grab your pistol instead...LOL.

wow, it's been just around a year since my original post. still in a wheelchair most of the time due to an idiot surgeon. i did find that the arms on my chair are removable......no more problem. i can carry strong side about 4 oclock and the chair just helps hide it but with easy access |
