So I've been looking into making the Glock 29 my next firearms purchase, sadly none of the local gun shops have one that I can try out.
Glock 30 is currently my go to carry piece and I love it, it shots great for me, so I dont have to many worrys about liking the 29. I love 10mm i've just never personaly held/used a 29.
If anyone has experiance with the 29 and has could share some feed back that would be wonderful!

| I know next to nothing about 10mm, the 30 is my carry as well. |

| since the Glock 29 and 30 are exactly the same size, you probably aren't going to gain much by handling one. Just go online to wwwbudsgunshop.com and buy it. Only difference is the price and availability of ammo, a different recoil, and probably louder than your 30. I haven't held or fired one either, but its a Glock, and the only platform for 10mm that holds any interest for me personally. |

Is a conversion kit for the 30 an option? I'd imagine it is.
You'd need new mags, but other than that, it's the same size frame and slide.
Might be an option to save a little $$$. |

| With just a barrel swap in your 30 you can go to 400 Corbon, same ballistics as 10mm up to about 180gr or so. |

| If the 30 is a good fit, you'll be fine with the 29. I've never shot the 29; I chose a G20 because the 29 grip felt too short, but the big brother is a thumper for sure. |

I have a 29 and a 30. The 29 is my daily carry (alternated with a 1911 when the mood strikes). Everyone is different but for some reason I shoot great with the 29 and just decent with the 30. The recoil on the 29 is more of a snap than the push of the 30. The 29 is my favorite by far.
Only recommendation that I would make is plan to reload for the 29 unless you have alot of cash for the target ammo. Otherwise you might not practice as much as you normally would. The reloading is easy and even cheaper if you cast your own bullets. If you plan to use cast bullets get a lone wolf barrel (mine was about $100). I shoot the lone wolf more accurately than the stock barrel anyhow. |
