I think I'm not in the minority by saying I prefer a SA trigger over any DAO or stiker-fired gun.
You're not alone. The XD/M has a much better trigger than any Glock. It also has a match grade barrel and grip safety. The sights are also excellent--not like the 25 cent plastic crap that Glock calls sights. Plus you get a lot of goodies with the pistol. I shot a 17 and my XD/M at the same time the other day. The Springer shoots rings around the Glock. I'm not saying the Glock is a bad gun or even not worth the money. It is simply not as good as the SA or Smith competitors. The Gen 4 has improved--especially getting rid of the 2x4 width grip, but still is a distant 3rd, imo. |

yes, if you like a mushy marshmellow feelng trigger with lots of unnecessary travel and no clear reset point, the xd has a better trigger. |

I can't believe you think the XD/M trigger is 'mushy.' Not going into reset points, as we've had that discussion and for you it is an issue, while it isn't for me. The Glock may have what you want in reset points, but you pull it forever before it finally goes off. The Springer, once you know the takeup point, has a clear break. The Smith's isn't as good, but still better than the Glock. And the M is a clear improvement on the XD's trigger pull--which was comparable to the Glock. Then Gen 4 17 is a very good gun, but I'll take my XD/M overall any day. The two extra rounds is also a big plus. 20 in a gun, plus 38 more in a double mag pouch, is the top 9mm firepower you can get. And, the XD/M shoots rings around the 17, as I noted elsewhere. I think you are getting frustrated because you can't shoot your SIG 1911s in public... |

| The first time my son shot my 40Cal XD he shot better with it then he did with his Glock. He's talking about selling the Glock. I also had Springfield do a trigger job on my 9mm XDM competition model, they took it down to three pounds....what a difference. |
To all of our military personnel, both past and present...Thank you for your sacrifice.
Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn't move and does, use duct tape. |

If you like the glock but need a grip reduction, try a gen 4. I have never had an issue with the glock grip that most hate. I started out shooting glocks so it felt natural to me. But after picking up my gen 4 glock 19, I realized how much better it could be. I dont use the extra grip pieces as I think the stock "small" grip feels awesome. Give one a try. As a side note if grip is a deciding factor to you try a CZ 75. The smaller carry model. My dad has a CZ 75 PCR that shoots great. Very accurate and its an alloy frame so its lighter than there other compact 75. We both love it but we still carry glocks. |
