Re: I give up; Glock 19 for me.

I have many carry guns and they all have a place in the rotation, but the g23 is my go to. I can remember a realization I had awhile back. I was having a discussion and said "If I'm ever forced to shoot to defend my life, I hope I brought my Glock that day"...and it hit me, I can bring my...

Yup. 90% of the time you'll find a g23 on my hip as well. I have many carry guns and they all have a place in the rotation, but the g23 is my go to.

Re: CCW shooting officer's attacker video

Exactly. I already have a Shield in .45 that makes for a great backup and deep carry gun but it wouldn't be my primary daily carry due to the limited capacity. The 21sf is doable, if it's worth it too you. Just an FYI, the 21 SF dimensions are identical to the Gen 4 without installing the larger ba...

Re: CCW shooting officer's attacker video

I realize there will always be exceptions and note that if I felt heavy 9mm was inadequate I would be carrying something larger. As I've stated in the past, all else being equal (shot placement, mental and physical condition of the threat, etc.), 9mm is not and will never be truly equal to .45. I'm...

Re: USPc 45 - SS?

Thanks, all. I've ultimately decided to purchase both, separately. I just purchased the blued LE version (three top capacity magazines and night sights) from BUD'S for $899 (using the price match feature) with free shipping. I paid by e-check so hopefully I'll have it in a couple weeks. Bud's is so...

Re: M&P 2.0

Not to derail your post Nate but how do you like the M&P 15 22? Im looking at both the AR and handgun M&P platforms in 22lr to use helping new shooters and for cheaper training for me.

Savage MSR

I'm a big fan of savage rifles from their rimfires for training and the centerfires for my long range shooting. I'm really excited to see them getting into the AR game. Now I love my M&p 10 but the savage 10 in 6.5 creedmoor Has me drooling. I'd like to see what you guys think. https://www.savag...

Re: Seeking rifle recommendations

I thought you were looking for a 308, but of course they make a 30-06 I was looking for one in .308, but only because the salesman told me that .308 was the largest caliber available in the platform. I like the .308 almost equally as much anyway and the ballistics are closer than ever but if I can ...

Re: Seeking rifle recommendations

The accuteigger is hard to beat. You should have went ahead and picked up one for you as well in 308, as I'm pretty sure after you fire that one, you will anyway. :D Come to find out, they do make the rifle in .30-06 (they just didn't have one in stock there) and I'm sure to pick one up. I thought ...

Re: Seeking rifle recommendations

She is going to love that rifle I promise you. Thanks for all the information. I'll research every option you listed. In handling all of them, the Savage stood out not just to her but me as well. I'm considering getting the same gun in .308 for myself. I really fell in love with them when I got sta...

Re: Seeking rifle recommendations

https://s21.postimg.org/ketwpl6br/v1_MV9k56_G_a_OEXy4_VKN.png Thanks, all. After handling quite a few different guns, my daughter has ultimately chosen the Savage model #11 with the Nikon scope package chambered in .243. I really wanted her to get the .308 but she won't shoot it as much due to the ...

Re: Seeking rifle recommendations

I'd go with a 243. Pretty big difference in recoil, not that the 308 would be that bad. You'd be surprised at all you can do with the 243. Its really a great round.

Re: .458 SOCOM

based on what i just read, the CMMG rifle uses a beefed up receiver and bolt to handle the increased power of the 458. you will probably be ok using this ammo in a standard AR so long as you dont feed it a steady diet of it. But is the rifle some how fails (cracked receiver, bolt failure, Kaboom, e...

Re: Glock 44 and 45?

As much as I love Glock they really missed the mark with the 43. ? I think the 43 is a great success. It's as pocketable as is a Shield or XDS. It's not going to fit in the pocket of your nut-hugger jeans but I have no problem slipping my Shield or a 43 into most any semi-loose pocket. What about t...

Re: Why you should reload

I doubt I shoot enough pistol to ever come close to saving money loading for them. Rifle ammo wouldn't take long at all though. With the exception of the long range loads.
