Re: MORE problems for the Army's Sig 320

The sad thing is, after all their rigorous tests and trials, the army probably would have gotten better results by just sending some private into a gun store and having him ask "what's the best handgun you have"? No No No. A private would have came back married to a stripper with 3 kids, ...

Spend a week on active duty and you’d be surprised major screw ups don’t happen more often.

Re: 224 Valkyrie.

The AR 10 is a very capable long range rig. The M110 I had in Afghanistan was basically a supped up AR10 in 7.62x51. I’ve shot my M&P 10 out to 1000 with good results. I prefer my bolt guns for long range but it would be nice to add another option to the safe. I was looking at the savage MSR in ...

224 Valkyrie.

Any thoughts on this new round? At first I thought it would be another fad AR round. The more I read about it the more I think I might have to get one. Supposedly stays supper sonic to 1300 yards and with less felt recoil of the 6.5 creedmoor. I’m not recoil sensitive by any means but the worse my a...

Re: .22 @ $0.05 per round

That's odd; I never heard of that before. I understand why so many companies won't ship to California and places like that with restrictions, but Alabama? What part of Alabama anyway? I went to Basic Training at McClellan. In 1986, Anniston was still partially segregated. I remember it was harder t...

No idea but they never have. If you look where you enter the shipping address you won’t find Alabama in the drop down menu for state. It’s weird since I’m pretty sure they are located in Mississippi.

Re: Glock 19x

I knew you’d get one ASAP. I actually like the fde color. It’s the only color other than black I like, but I don’t buy them for cosmetics. Even thought this one doesn’t do much for me, I’m glad to see glock offering more models instead of the small stuble changes to current models we have come to ex...

Re: Glock 19x

See I’m the opposite. I would prefer a 17 slide on an 19 frame. The xd’s are the only platform I know of with this set up. If the triggers weren’t so mushy, the xds being the exception, I’d grab one.

Glock 19x

Nate you have said for a long time your ideal carry gun would be a G19 slide on a G17 frame, well it’s here.

Forgive my ignorance as I don’t have near the expertise you do, but how would a pic of you holsters set you up for an ambusb? I understand opsec and all but it’s not like you are giving a grid on your location.

I’m not a fan of all this innuendo and disrespectful talk. I’m the guy who beat Dan ‘Deadeye’ Roberts on the quickdraw. And when Bill ‘Widowmaker’ Harrison had me in his sights. I took care of it. When my armored car took heavy fire from Russian FSB i came out on the other end just fine. My run ins...

One time some punks broke into my home. Luckily for them i was away at the time. Let’s just say someone made them disappear off the earth, soon thereafter *wink wink* In case you've been wondering why no one responded to your dumbshit post (which it is, what grade are you in *wink wink*?), make no ...

Sorry, not many gecko45 types around here. I'm not some tough guy wannabe, I'm a professional armored courrier. So I don't appreciate the snark. So am I, and know of zero companies that allow backup weapons. Also every qualification for armed courriers is laughable at best. I’m also an Iraq and Afg...

Re: Off duty officer is not armed during Vegas shooting

Y'all are mixing these drinks like I prepare the chain saw gas, trying to measure precisely. We always used Mtn Dew with whiskey. But this sounds like a good Christmas drink. I normally just mix whiskey with whiskey, but decided to follow Nate’s instructions out of respect for him before bashing hi...

Re: Off duty officer is not armed during Vegas shooting

I did mix it like you said, again it isn’t bad, just a little to sweet for me. I bought 2 pints, was going to offer you the unopened one but the girlfriend is in love with it. It’s still not bourbon. Taste just like apple pucker schnapps to me. With that said don’t let my opinion stop anyone else fr...

Re: Off duty officer is not armed during Vegas shooting

It's not really a flavored whiskey like most out there. This is bourbon (distinctly bourbon) with apple juice. I wouldn't recommend it if it wasn't really that good. Give it a try, I bet you'll be as surprised as I was. It's the only alcoholic beverage I'll drink with food (but mixed with Sprite if...
