Re: Chasing the holy grail of carry

I was referring to a full custom from a one-man shop and not a semi custom (i know i know....debateable). http://i.imgur.com/WjV1upn.jpg The Titan is a hand-built, full custom $4,000 1911 built one at a time by the same master gunsmith, Greg Krebaum. The only thing Dan Wesson on the Titan is the na...

Re: Chasing the holy grail of carry

I still can't believe you haven't gone full custom on a 1911 yet. ...you must have missed this one ? I remember that one. I was referring to a full custom from a one-man shop and not a semi custom (i know i know....debateable). Rogers Precision, Business End Customs, Heirloom, Chen, Chambers, etc. ...

Re: Chasing the holy grail of carry

I know you love the 10, and I did as well at one point. Great round, but in the end, just not worth the expense, and pain, over a round that works well and is fun to shoot. Overall I actually agree with you very much. What I like about the 10mm is that I can load it with 220 grain hard cast bullets...

Re: Chasing the holy grail of carry

Nathan, not sure if you remember but I had a 10mm CCO built for me a few years ago. It was to be the ultimate carry gun. Sold it! Reasons? 10mm has its advantages, but they didn't outweigh those of good ol 45acp. The negatives that changed my mind were 10mm cost is higher (and i don't reload) and sn...

Nice! The 94 Trapper was on my short list before I found the Uberti.

Re: Aimpoint PRO vs EOtech XSP2-0

I checked out the ACOGs when sampling the others, and I wasn't very impressed, at least not enough to justify spending that much more for what my intended uses are. Was this standing in a gun store pointing it at the back wall, or did you truly test it at the range? Standing in the store looking at...

Re: Aimpoint PRO vs EOtech XSP2-0

I checked out the ACOGs when sampling the others, and I wasn't very impressed, at least not enough to justify spending that much more for what my intended uses are. I also looked through 2 other Trijicon sights, the MRO and the 42mm Reflex site. The amber reticle was by far the least visible for me,...

Illuminated reticle 1 - (×) scopes

I had been waffling on this one for a few weeks. I sold a Nikon M223 1-4 scope in order to acquire a 1-4 or 1-6 with an illuminated reticle without dropping a lot of money. I eventually decided on the Vortex Strike Eagle, and should have it tomorrow. The SE has 1-6x magnification, and an illuminated...

Re: Aimpoint PRO vs EOtech XSP2-0

This is an old thread but I recently faced this same decision. I have a horrible astigmatism. Single dots aren't clear at all. However, I wanted to look through an Aimpoint PRO, and compare it to an Eotech with the circle dot reticle. The Aimpoint dot is by far the most clear of the single dots that...

Selway Armory website. A search for 45LC on wikiarms brought it up.

Re: .45 Long Colt

Nathan, I shot the Selway rounds yesterday, and had a blast. The recoil, or lack of, reminded me of my childhood shooting a .22 rifle. Great round for plinking, and only .40 per round.

The end goal is to get this to the SCOTUS. If HRC is elected, and gets her SCOTUS pick affirmed, expect an appeal, and then another.

Selway Armory in Montana has 200 rounds for $79. Great for plinking I hope. Ordered a jug yesterday.

There is no finer "truck gun" I think. I can sit behind my steering wheel and still turn it 360 degrees with efficiency.

For me, it's my car gun. ;) I may have to reach through the back seat into the trunk to grab it, but it's close by if needed.

Re: 4" Python

I don't feel too bad about what I paid, considering the condition. I want to get a full western gun belt made for it. One thing that really surprises me is the lack of a decent quality temporary holster. I'd love to carry this on occassion but cannot find a lined holster for it anywhere other than ...

If I had not left when I did, an EMP4 would have gone home with me as well. That gun just feels great in my hand. I have the original EMP. After sending it back to Springfield to have the front strap checkered, I consider it the most ergonomically perfect feeling gun ever. It is a true extension of...

Re: AR15 pistols

I received a Thordsen enhanced cheek rest and got it installed this morning. This is by far my favorite out of the SIG brace or the naked buffer tube. My cheek rests on the unit comfortably, and my eye is centered over the top rail perfectly. http://i1030.photobucket.com/albums/y369/cemorticiandeadg...
