Re: Legal ghost guns
I'm still not convinced they are a good thing. What would make them a "bad" thing? I mean seriously, we're talking about an amount that's relatively insignificant even it if got stolen. It's more than I want to lose certainly, but not enough to prevent me from buying one just in case one ...

Re: Legal ghost guns
What makes them worth it? The fact that there is no serial number, no registration anywhere. The desire to own a completely unregistered gun is no indication of character or intent. The leftist media and anti-gun campaign has successfully conditioned us to believe that an unregistered gun is just f...

Re: Ridiculous case in Virginia
Back to Zhao, if you read the whole article, it sounds like the local police had to have been looking for something to bust him on. Obviously the detective who arrested him was aware of who he was, his legal status and the technicality on which to charge him. Something is very fishy about this whol...

Ridiculous case in Virginia
Man arrested because a detective at a firing ranged said he saw him put a 30-round mag in his AR. It was legal for the man to own 30-round mags and legal to own the AR, but somehow not legal for him to load the 30-round mag into his AR. http://www.richmond.com/news/virginia/judge-denies-former-virgi...

Re: MORE problems for the Army's Sig 320
The sad thing is, after all their rigorous tests and trials, the army probably would have gotten better results by just sending some private into a gun store and having him ask "what's the best handgun you have"?

Re: MORE problems for the Army's Sig 320
Out of all the super-high tech handguns available in the modern world, the Army somehow managed to find the one defective model to make their new issued pistol. Really, how did they pull this off?

Yep, if it wasn't for those damn heavy double action triggers, I'd be happy to carry a revolver myself. Really after 120 years, you'd think someone would be able to make a DA revolver with a trigger that isn't horrible.

Re: Good shooting, lousy tactics
It's also interesting to see the security guard carrying a six-gun. Even in this day and age, revolvers haven't completely left the holsters of those who carry a gun for a living. It's a private security guard; that's probably a leftover from the 70s that they won't replace because it still works. ...

Good shooting, lousy tactics
Amusing video of an armed security guard shooting two robbers armed with fake guns. His shooting was quite good, but his tactics left a lot to be desired. He got too close to the robbers after the shooting was over, even though at least one of them was still standing and active. He even takes his ey...

Agreed. I would add that you should also carry a concealed backup gun as well.

A reason to carry a backup gun.
http://www.kmov.com/story/36752680/victim-shoots-suspects-during-robbery-in-old-north-st-louis Granted, this whole incident could have been avoided if the victim had done a better job of concealing his primary weapon or used a proper holster, but it does show that the benefits of having a backup gun...

The importance of practicing one-handed shooting
Off-duty cop in Brazil kills two armed robbers, while holding his infant son in one arm. This really shows why practicing one-handed shooting is a good idea. I also like how the cop doesn't get tunnel vision. You can see him constantly scanning the area for new threats. https://www.youtube.com/watch...

Probably the best animated fight scene of all time, though it does have some animation continuity errors:

Re: Some things just get better with time
As cheesy as it was, that was still a pretty entertaining fight scene. At least there was no CGI. CGI has turned a lot of fight scenes in modern movies into cartoons, where the actors don't actually have to be in them. Anyway if you want to see a real classic, check out this one. https://www.youtube...

Re: Mass shooting in Texas Church stopped by armed citizen
I've been reading some more about this story and it turns out Willeford was surprisingly badly prepared. Before he could engage the killer, he had to take his AR15 out of his safe, LOAD A MAGAZINE, load the rifle, and then get into action. That's right, he had no loaded magazines in his safe. He act...

It has been confirmed today that the killer was shot by the armed citizen, though ultimately his death was from a self-inflicted shot. I wonder what kind of rifle the good guy was using. Also, the good guy has now been identified as 55-year old Stephen Willeford http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/...

http://www.cnn.com/2017/11/05/us/texas-church-shooting-latest/index.html Were it not for a local resident who confronted the gunman, the deadliest shooting in Texas history could have claimed even more lives.
