Re: Drunk G Man Shoots Another Dancer

Certainly needs a better holster, but damn those were some sweet moves. I wonder how many other federal agents could do a perfect back flip like that.

Video game allowing you to assume the role of a school shooter. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/video-game-simulates-school-shooting_us_5b0d7a42e4b0568a880f04bd It was a small indie game made by some nobody company no one ever heard of, and it was canceled in response to the backlash. https://...

Re: Killers inspire killers

I'm really not in favor of blaming video games. Millions of people play them without adverse effect. But it's unrealistic to think that they're not a part of an overall culture that glorifies violence, and it's clear that the culture a person lives in can influence them. The serotonin re-uptake inh...

Out of curiosity, Nate have you ever played video games before? I'd love to hear some specific examples of the games you think are most corruptive.

Re: Killers inspire killers

I don't think video games are the culprit, but all the other stuff you mentioned probably are factors. Why not? I don't think anyone on this forum is suggesting we ban video games, but we have to remember two major things here. While a single game in itself is not likely to result in a violent pers...

Re: Killers inspire killers

I don't think video games are the culprit, but all the other stuff you mentioned probably are factors. As I've said in previous threads, we have to look at recent things, since mass shootings in schools are such a recent thing. This is despite the fact that guns are harder to get now then they have ...

Mass shooter down

https://www.cnn.com/2018/05/24/us/oklahoma-city-shooting/index.html Ironically this incident will get very little coverage since no one died other then the killer. If he had killed 20 people first before the armed citizen took him out, then it would get the coverage it deserves. The bitter irony of ...

Re: Brazil defensive shooting caught on camera

Brazil seems like such a violent country. Good thing they have such strict gun control there, otherwise it would be "just like the wild west". Indeed, Brazil is one of the most violent places on earth. It had over 56,000 murders in 2017. Of course as you said, guns are very hard to ...

Re: Legal ghost guns

I'm still not convinced they are a good thing. What would make them a "bad" thing? I mean seriously, we're talking about an amount that's relatively insignificant even it if got stolen. It's more than I want to lose certainly, but not enough to prevent me from buying one just in case one ...

Re: Legal ghost guns

What makes them worth it? The fact that there is no serial number, no registration anywhere. The desire to own a completely unregistered gun is no indication of character or intent. The leftist media and anti-gun campaign has successfully conditioned us to believe that an unregistered gun is just f...

Re: Ridiculous case in Virginia

Back to Zhao, if you read the whole article, it sounds like the local police had to have been looking for something to bust him on. Obviously the detective who arrested him was aware of who he was, his legal status and the technicality on which to charge him. Something is very fishy about this whol...

Ridiculous case in Virginia

Man arrested because a detective at a firing ranged said he saw him put a 30-round mag in his AR. It was legal for the man to own 30-round mags and legal to own the AR, but somehow not legal for him to load the 30-round mag into his AR. http://www.richmond.com/news/virginia/judge-denies-former-virgi...

Re: MORE problems for the Army's Sig 320

The sad thing is, after all their rigorous tests and trials, the army probably would have gotten better results by just sending some private into a gun store and having him ask "what's the best handgun you have"?

Out of all the super-high tech handguns available in the modern world, the Army somehow managed to find the one defective model to make their new issued pistol. Really, how did they pull this off?

Yep, if it wasn't for those damn heavy double action triggers, I'd be happy to carry a revolver myself. Really after 120 years, you'd think someone would be able to make a DA revolver with a trigger that isn't horrible.

Re: Good shooting, lousy tactics

It's also interesting to see the security guard carrying a six-gun. Even in this day and age, revolvers haven't completely left the holsters of those who carry a gun for a living. It's a private security guard; that's probably a leftover from the 70s that they won't replace because it still works. ...

Good shooting, lousy tactics

Amusing video of an armed security guard shooting two robbers armed with fake guns. His shooting was quite good, but his tactics left a lot to be desired. He got too close to the robbers after the shooting was over, even though at least one of them was still standing and active. He even takes his ey...

http://www.kmov.com/story/36752680/victim-shoots-suspects-during-robbery-in-old-north-st-louis Granted, this whole incident could have been avoided if the victim had done a better job of concealing his primary weapon or used a proper holster, but it does show that the benefits of having a backup gun...

The importance of practicing one-handed shooting

Off-duty cop in Brazil kills two armed robbers, while holding his infant son in one arm. This really shows why practicing one-handed shooting is a good idea. I also like how the cop doesn't get tunnel vision. You can see him constantly scanning the area for new threats. https://www.youtube.com/watch...
