Love my Mossberg 500, its more go to gun. But, it's set up for Deer. My 870 Tactical is setup for HD and has been flawless since the cleanup.

Re: Remington 870 issues.

I had the same issue with my 870 Tactical and cheap ammo. I noticed a lot of plastic build up in the chamber after a few rounds went through. I tore the gun down and used a flex gone on my drill with WD40 to lube while keeping the speed down. The flex hone shafts will bend just good enough to get in...

That's really exceptional. I'll check out his products just on the basis of his kindness there. I highly suggest his products. They are too notch and Tim is a complete gentleman. I've dealt with him a couple of times over the last few years and he always dies great work, and stand behind his produc...

Re: TTGunleather

I recieved my belt back today with a little surprise. I had talked to Tim and let him know that I'm low on funds because of not being able to work, but as soon as I sold a couple of things, I was going to order a new IWB holster for my jframe. Well in the box was that exact holster. There was no bil...

Re: Cancer carry

A quick update for those of you not on my Facebook. I've come down to one last round of chemo, but that got put on hold because of where my tumor is on my C6 vertebrae. The tumor was treated with 10 rounds of radiation, but somehow it started to move into the vertebrae above and below, causing one o...

TTGunleather

I've dealt with Tim at TTGunleather for awhile now. He has made a few holsters and a belt for me. This thread is more for the belt, this is one hell of a belt and has held up to about 9 yrs of solid use. Well, with my cancer I've lost 60 pounds and I've been using the last hole in the belt and as of...

Re: Singer refuses to disarm, cancels show

So glad there were never metal detectors anywhere I worked. Thankfully my work has been like that, but when I was at the previous company, I couldn't carry at all. Places like a Nuclear facility, BP oil and others like that routinely check everything in the tool truck and make you walk through a se...

Re: GOOD DA trigger!

If you do get one of these, I want to see a full work up on the quality and performance. I swore off kimber a long time ago because of shitty performance. Overall the gun looked good, but wouldn't function worth a shit, even after a couple trips to kimber for repair. I swear by my SW 340PD, that lit...

Nathan,
I have a bunch of the gold dot SD 38 spcl.
Don't recall the bullet weight, but they perform pretty good. It's the same ammo I have in Marys pistol

Cancer carry

Well, as some of you know, I'm in a literal fight for my life with cancer. Up until this point I've carried my 357 revolver 100%. Blessed with a new job where I don't have to wrench anymore, I'm the service manager and run everything in the shop. Well, with some of the meds I'm on, I stopped carryin...

Re: What is Your Primary Carry and Why

I carry a SW 340PD. Federal Premium 158 grain JHP 357 mag. I used to carry a 1911 IWB and had no issues concealing or carrying it, but medical issues prevent me from carrying with any weight or a tight belt on my waistline anymore. This little hand cannon easily pocket carries anywhere I need and we...

Re: Cheap Grease

While the oil Nathan describes works great, I find it is wicked away by clothing faster than grease and I've never had a problem using grease. Those "loose tolerances" won't get hurt by whatever grit is held by the grease, which won't be much by the time you clean your gun next. Really, ei...

Re: Archery/Bow guys

You might make a little, but take into consideration the pain in the ass it will be to sell them individually. I had a few bows left over from upgrades that were laying around. I found a local youth group that focuses on teaching kids proper archery skills and safety. I donated my 4 bows to them, th...

Re: Gooseneck options

Nathan, made a mount for my winch so I could put it in a 2" receiver on the trailer or on the back of the truck. That way I don't have to be stuck with it only in one place. I have plans to put a 2" receiver on the front of my truck too. I also keep a spare battery so that I can move it to...

Re: Unloading shipping container?

Nathan, we have done a couple of setups but the one I like the most was set up to stay with the box and plumbed with hard pipe to a centrally located position with a valve system that allowed for a single control to operate all 4 jacks and a flow control to adjust air to each jack and tune them to a...
