Re: 458 Socom optic

I have a Burris Fast Fire 2 on my home defense rifle, I love it. I can shoot 4 legged intruders at 100 yards. You can shoot it both eyes open. It happens to be the primary optic on that rifle so no awkward looking over the top of a scope. I have hit clays with it, flung by my shotgun popper. Very fa...

Re: Server outtage

I do wish we didn't have go thru a 3rd party to host our pics. I understand it probably takes lots of space on that server. Photobucket doesn't do so well on my phone, I was trying to load some pics to put here yesterday, after a hr I gave up. You can upload pictures now to this server, you just ha...

Re: 1874 Sharps

2k is alot for that, my father in law bought a 1885 Uberti high wall falling block rifle in .45-70 I think he gave $800 for it. It looks awesome, but it'll rattle your teeth if you shoot it off sand bags. It's not quite so bad free hand cause it pushes you around more. It's fairly heavy, and it look...

I love the case hardened color, just never been a fan of the black plastic grips. I prefer the patina of a worn bone or wood grip.

V bulletin looks alot like what we have at the moment. Very staight forward, l didn't see any issues. I only have Internet axcess on my phone, Tapatalk is a little nicer on my phone. It uses very little data, it's typically faster, the user interface is very easy to navigate, and if your on more tha...

Re: Boresights

I've had folks at my place to sight in rifles that had bore sighted rifles, and I waste less rounds than that crowd without one. They want to start at 100 yards and keep cranking on the scope cause it's not on the paper until out of frustration they start pulling in the target until they hit my 25 y...

Re: Seeking rifle recommendations

So I bought a CZ 550 AMERICAN in .270 last year and I have been extremely pleased with it. It holds .5 MOA at 300 yards! I haven't had chance to paper it further than that but needles to say I am reliable with it to 350. I'll not shoot any deer further than that until I have had chance to map the tr...

You know I can't seem to teach the cats that people drop off here how to swim either. Maybe we could get together and figure out what we're lacking.

We've gone to that really twice now but still didn't go to Uwharrie. The farm park has a no atv rule so this year we didn't even take it. Some of the guys with Humvee's did go to Uwharrie, but for us with the big trucks all we can ride is the maintenance gravel roads. So none of us went.

How about take the 5 ton with you? Get a set of ramps, you should be able to for a couple of atv's in the back.

I'll have to check on their gear ratios. Are you worried about seals dryin out? Sitting is the worst thing for a car in my experience. or do you think it being brand new will hold until you start running it.

Wait, your putting it into storage? Nice truck! How bad is the fuel milage? Dad has a 2012 3500 and my brother just flew to Texas to pick up a 2011 3500. Both of the get 13-14 bobbed tail and 9-10 loaded.

The roller fairlead would have mounted right to the out side with a appropriate hole for the cable to come thru. Them you still c...
