So, with hollow points are you going to take that shot with somerone right behind the bad guy?

Re: "Pretty" guns

Seriously though... was it you, Nate that said a 1911 deserves a leather holster. Surely esthetics played a role in that coordination.

No offense to Virginians, if that was the intended word that solicited the above post. I clearly was thinking about, "vaginas".

Personally, I love 'em. Try it, you might like it. :D
Remember, just because gaity is over represented on TV doesn't mean you you have to suscribe to it. YMMV. Whatever floats your boat. Not judging, LOL

That really does look great. Just enough features IMO, never having a problem with original safety and a preference for traditional rear only slide serrations and stainless.

So is it relegated to the "shelf" or does she shoot?

Re: Seeking rifle recommendations

Nice choice! Even if she does grow into an even more suitable big game cartridge, the 243 will remain a nice long distance target or varmint shooter all day long. My go to deer gun is a 30-06 for many years now. I just purchased my first "sniper rifle" a couple years ago, a bolt action 243...

Re: Server outtage

The trial site seems ok on my cheap Samsung tablet. Not sure about the tabw to blogs and articles, etc. Maybe a new place put more formal reviews?

You look much younger in your Avatar there as well. Be interesting to see how/whether a photo intensive post would effect the experience.

Re: Open up to new members?

Another thing: There was a bunch of fantastic technical content on this forum before the reboot. Initial promises to bring history back in never materialized. Many of those threads were kick started by newbs coming to arms perhaps for the first time. There are a bunch of helpful people here with gre...

I wonder what the odds are modern day that NYc or LA would gift an evil handgun...

Already looking for a holster!? Now you're getting carried away. Does that safety flip up; will your Glock/1911 habits allow you to work it by route?

I love my all steel CZ Matte, but have occasionally been attracted to CZ PO9 with 19+1 capacity. Havent pulled the trigger as it doesnt share the same mags. Have seen the PO9 .40S&W (15+1) at insanely low prices, .40 having falling out of vogue for the mainstream.

How about Robar NP3+ Norton Special? Not as shiny as chrome but a functional matte stainless-like finish. Self lubricating with its Teflon inpregnation.

I wonder if that is a fixed magazine there. A little bit of elephant lard could have gone a long way to keeping that thing preserved/lubed. GEEZ.

I like your ploy to elicit photos for sure. Are you going to be able to ship to Hawaii or Illinois?

C'mon ya'll where are them 10 gauges? Surely you 10mm folks have a matching 10 shotgun!

My gorgeous wife was wearing only her aqua-colored boots that very day! I suppose I can post one of the upward angle shots I took. . .

Oh wait -- my 100th post just came and went! Maybe now I'll have to wait until my 500th before posting the other pic.

Beretta 96 Centurion, 96A1, 92A1 (kind of)

OK - just to try to liven things up around here, I'm going to try another post with a picture. I actually do occasionally carry the 96FS Centurion. Magazines for the 96A1 are installed in the pistol mag slots of my "tacticool" vest should I need to don it. Anyway, 96A1 with MecGar 13+2 (40...

OK you have your 2 wilson combat mags. I have one. Now go buy a bunch more innexpensive mags. Annecdotal, yes. My only 1911 failures (2) were coincident with Chip McC shootingstars. No failures yet with their power mag or MecGar 7 and 8s, Springfield, Colt, Check Mate, Remington, or WC. I might be m...

Re: How much fits in ammo box?

Below is the amount of loose ammunition you can store in .30 caliber cans and .50 caliber cans. Caliber - .30/.50 • 9mm - 1200/2200 • .40 - 1000/1750 • .45 - 770/1300 • .556 - 600/1200 • 7.62x51 - 320/640 • 12 gauge - 140/250 • • I'll update this as I progress with loading more boxes. And how may o...

Re: CZ75B Matte Stainless & PCR

Yeah, I'm getting an itchy trigger for sure, having not shot the PCR yet. The DA effort is significantly more than on its larger brother for some reason (thinking back to when it was new). Also the trigger reach on the compact seems longer and pinches the finger at an awkward angle; I'll see if I ge...

Alleluia! I'm anticipating some carry time for the compact PCR for sure. As well as maybe. . . . . . by swapping the tops, I have a CZ "Centurion" or "Commander" if you will. In addition to a "Compact Long Slide". 8) http://i1360.photobucket.com/albums/r652/Tyerone2/CZT...

I think I messed it up again modifying the codes and retrying, etc.
