As a home inspector, one of the things I find most often is that some sliding doors are installed BACKWARDS, meaning the slider is on the outside. Think about it. The sliding portion should be on the inside, so when closed, it is far less vulnerable to lifting out of the frame (if at all). I don't h...

Not a 1911, but Bud's Gun Shop has a couple of Kahr 45's in the $350 range.
DAO and a 3.2" Barrel CM45. Weight is 17 oz

I have never found IWB comfortable. After some searching, I found a Python PH2 packing heat pouch for my Kahr MK9 that also holds a spare mag. It is ballistic nylon and looks just like a PDA case. I wear it year-round and love it.

And in my backup gun (380 in an ankle holster) the Buffalo Bore +p ammo actually has better specs (on paper at least) than a 38 special.
1200 fps and 288 ft/lbs

I like the Buffalo Bore 9mm +p in 124 gr. 1300 fps with 461 ft/lbs
