Re: Cowboy loads and cover

I dunno, I kinda like it. I mean as kids when you "shot" your buddy. You re-inacted the movies by flying backwards and landing over furniture and stuff.

Re: Armed robber killed, his mother mad

Years ago, here in Tucson Az. We had armed men walk into a closed Pizza Hut and shoot the manager and employees. Just because. I think maybe robbery but if I remember correctly, they walked away with nothing. These employees today should hold their head high.

Re: updating the ole' SA milspec

Late update on the Milspec. I ended up having some assembly issues for some damn reason or other. The hammer would not catch when cocked back! I stared and stared at the plunger and the mainspring. I dunno. A friend of mine from work who is a engineer/ gunsmith type promptly took it apart and put it...

Re: Glock 44 and 45?

I just love the "new" idea from Glock and S&W with single stack weapons... When the Glock 43 came out, I was like..Now how is this different than the Kahr P9? And that boy is from 01! Everything old is new again. Nice gun, but not revolutionary.

updating the ole' SA milspec

I have a certain itch to mess with the weapons I have now and slowly procure more. Without the wife knowing ofcourse! :D But in the meantime, I wanted to update the old springer and Get some "new" guts inside her and work on the action. I started with Wolffe Gunsprings about 5 years back, ...

Re: Expandable baton

Years ago, Monadnock had trainers come out for a day seminar, real nice people. I ended up using their 16in. lockable one. I liked it, because you didn't have to smash the head of it down on the ground to close it. Also, the older 16in. only had one fly that came out and it was beefier than the asp....

Yup, Nate and the boys talked me into a 686 but in 4 in. Best wheelie love. I used to have a Mod. 64 in stainless as well. I should of kept that bad boy. Here in arizona, I carry my smith open carry and don't really even get looked at. Just something about classic revolvers....

Finding all kinds of overseas ammo at decent prices, but .22 is goners. Haven't seen it in awhile. Now practice shooting is relegated to shotguns and .38s! Oh yeah, Arizona Border...

Finding new profile pics help

Hey all, just need some help finding pics the size requirement and all. I am striking out. Also, if searching for such parameters ( like what's a Kib?) How do you know the size will fit. Seems finding jpegs and small vids to turn into profile pics is harder on the new site. Thanks for the help.

Re: pocket carry choices

You probably meant LC9 as it is too large for pocket carry, unless you like balloon pockets. But the kahr has been shown to be very reliable and accurate to boot. With the proper ammo, it should be a very effective self defense tool. But, be prepared to practice, practice, practice...Those little ka...

Re: Terrorist active shooter in Paris France

So now we see beyond the trees as the terrorists have been gunned down and more hostages have been killed as well. The media now is conveying the self imposed limiting of free speech as to "not upsetting" extremists. Journalists and speech givers in multiple countries are being rounded up ...

Re: Roxie our Great Pyrenees rescues my 13 year old son

We just use the neighbors Golden Labs. Great breed. The oldest is the pack leader and is very protective of my kids. Keeps the coyotes out of the yard and lets the UPS guys know not to mess with the children. My nephew is autistic and they keep him out of trouble too! Great dogs. I'm just glad the o...

Re: 357/38

Don't get me wrong, Cause I love my Ruger scout rifle. But I am kinda getting a weird feeling about that model 77. The magazine looks overly complicated and good lord, is that gun expensive! Me thinks a good lever action seems more reliable and less complicated.

I was watching periodically all day to see if the report of the officers on bikes was misleading...It wasn't. But why doesn't that suprise me? Terrorist active shooter in Paris France

Whelp, there you have it....Paris has a mass shooting (terrorists declared) with 12 dead and multiples injured. Cops respond on bicycle and without firearms, quickly ride away. I guess Gun Control inc. will have something to say about this as well?
