Re: Legal ghost guns

I'm still not convinced they are a good thing. What would make them a "bad" thing? I mean seriously, we're talking about an amount that's relatively insignificant even it if got stolen. It's more than I want to lose certainly, but not enough to prevent me from buying one just in case one ...

Re: Legal ghost guns

What makes them worth it? The fact that there is no serial number, no registration anywhere. The desire to own a completely unregistered gun is no indication of character or intent. The leftist media and anti-gun campaign has successfully conditioned us to believe that an unregistered gun is just f...

Re: Racking the Slide

It depends; if I'm ejecting a live round, I use the thumb/finger method to facilitate cartridge clearance. If I'm loading the chamber, I utilize the over hand method.

I never heard of this one but the stats look good on paper. That said, I never really thought of an AR for long range work. My ARs are chambered in 5.56 and 7.62x51.

It's a private security guard; that's probably a leftover from the 70s that they won't replace because it still works.

Re: .22 @ $0.05 per round

That's odd; I never heard of that before. I understand why so many companies won't ship to California and places like that with restrictions, but Alabama? What part of Alabama anyway? I went to Basic Training at McClellan. In 1986, Anniston was still partially segregated. I remember it was harder to...

I've gone to OWB carry for everything now. As I've gotten older, I just don't want the hassle of IWB anymore.

Springfield ripped off the Glock Action for the XDs and that's why its a good trigger. I agree; I hate the mushy XD trigger. I call it the "Marshmallow Trigger System".

Yes; at one time the Hi-Power was the most popular handgun in the world. Military and police all over the world issued it. Popularity took the biggest hit in the mid-80s with the creation of the Glock.

Re: Hi-Power Discontinued

The $3500 price tag might have something to do with it. See, I think just the opposite. Many don't mind dropping thousands on a good gun. I didn't hesitate to drop $4,500 on my Titan because they took an old concept (1911) and gave it updated features (double stack 10mm) in a hand built quality gun...

I support the right to open carry, not the practice. I support you in doing it, but it's just not for me for reasons just like this. If you're going to open carry, utilize some form of active retention.
