Re: Tango1
It appears that Dave lost his battle with cancer.
Tango1
It saddens me deeply to announce that our dear friend Dave/Tango1 passed away on Feb 19th, 2018; I don't yet have exact cause. I just noticed that I hadn't heard anything from him on Facebook in awhile, so I went to his profile and saw everyone saying goodbye. He leaves behind a wife and special nee...

Re: Rangefinder recommendations?
I'm setting up a range literally from one mountain to the next one over so that when I'm hunting in wide open spaces that I'll have the range set properly in my scope. The reviews on that one say that to get an accurate range over 300 yards, you have to be spotting something the size of a house. I'm...

Rangefinder recommendations?
I want to set up rifle ranges at the ranch and am seeking recommendations on rangefinders. Is THIS ONE worth having, or is 600 yards enough?

? The SOCOM can be loaded to 600 grains. I thought the .45 Raptor was less than the SOCOM?

Anyone shooting this? Any advantage to consider this over the .458 SOCOM?

I'm wanting to join GOA; I bought an NRA lifetime membership when they reduced it to $300. If the GOA did the same I'd buy from them as well.

Brand value. Autozone $3 motor oil meets the same standard as the $8 Mobil 1, but I still buy the Mobil 1. I don't know if its actually any better than the generic, but I know what it is.

Re: Legal ghost guns
I'm still not convinced they are a good thing. What would make them a "bad" thing? I mean seriously, we're talking about an amount that's relatively insignificant even it if got stolen. It's more than I want to lose certainly, but not enough to prevent me from buying one just in case one ...

Re: Legal ghost guns
What makes them worth it? The fact that there is no serial number, no registration anywhere. The desire to own a completely unregistered gun is no indication of character or intent. The leftist media and anti-gun campaign has successfully conditioned us to believe that an unregistered gun is just f...

Re: Racking the Slide
It depends; if I'm ejecting a live round, I use the thumb/finger method to facilitate cartridge clearance. If I'm loading the chamber, I utilize the over hand method.

I never heard of this one but the stats look good on paper. That said, I never really thought of an AR for long range work. My ARs are chambered in 5.56 and 7.62x51.

It's a private security guard; that's probably a leftover from the 70s that they won't replace because it still works.

Re: .22 @ $0.05 per round
That's odd; I never heard of that before. I understand why so many companies won't ship to California and places like that with restrictions, but Alabama? What part of Alabama anyway? I went to Basic Training at McClellan. In 1986, Anniston was still partially segregated. I remember it was harder to...
