Re: Bought the wife a new truck!

Man Mike, that looks great! I may consider this option myself! I picked up an '02 V10 2500 last month just to play with and hot rod and the next step is paint. What did getting this done end up costing you, and do they spray the door jambs and such?

Re: Bought the wife a new truck!

I'm looking forward to the updated pics! What are you going to do for tires? I want something more aggressive for my dually but don't want to run rear spacers. I don't want to go crazy, but just a little bigger than stock.

Re: Thread Split - Usefulness of Night Sights

realistically, your movements will at some point reveal your location. foot steps, opening of doors, creaking of the floor, dog commotion, light, etc. Maybe, maybe not. You know where the noises live in your own house, an intruder does not. it seems you assume that the light will be "on" ...

Re: Thread Split - Usefulness of Night Sights

do you use a weapon mounted light? I don't; I keep a light on my night stand, but I wouldn't utilize it except in a rare circumstance. When you wake up with fully dilated eyes, I see a flashlight as more of a liability than an asset because your eyes are fully dilated but the intruder's are not. A ...

Re: Thread Split - Usefulness of Night Sights

One situation will afford more time than another. Typically if awakened by the Proverbial "bump in the night", you'll be walking around in a dark house looking for the source of the bump. If placed in this position I want every possible advantage that can be had within reasonable cost. Nig...

Re: Thread Split - Usefulness of Night Sights

I look forward to your updates as you continue to test it. If you'll do as I suggest and test it literally in the middle of the night after you just wake up, I'm confident that you'll see the benefit.

Do you sleep in a totally dark room? I usually turn the volume down but leave the TV on all night.

Re: Thread Split - Usefulness of Night Sights

Identifying the target is another, separate issue entirely. Obviously you must clearly identify a threat before shooting at it. I would rather the bad guy plunge his knife into me than risk shooting one of my own family members. For identifying the target, I'd start with looking for the strange guy ...

Re: I give up; Glock 19 for me.

this does not count night sights but might soon as i'm moving to the camp of were they serve no tangible defensive purpose. I'm not following you, here. You don't believe that night sights serve any tangible purpose? I think night sights should be standard on any defensive weapon. The next time you...

there is about $1500 attached to your beloved block 19 :D I agree that stuff is nuts. http://concealedcarryforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=5337 This is why I left the HK Facebook group and the M&P group and the Sig group. That type of crap is showing up in the Glock group but just not as oft...

Re: I give up; Glock 19 for me.

The VP9 is indeed pretty dang awesome, but a little big for my taste for concealed carry, and many owners are pimping them out, too. I even posted a thread about it last month. I'm excited to see the VP9c, coming soon.

the gen4 just feels the best in my hand, feels more secure. Love the feel, size, and capacity, so I'm done as well! The Gen 4 fits me very well, too. My favorite is the Gen 3 with the original RTF but they cancelled the original RTF because woman and men with soft woman hands found it painful. http...

Re: I give up; Glock 19 for me.

have you tried the same holster, but made for your Glock alternative? Yes. I carry in either an Alessi CQC or CQC/S (same holster, but the loops snap). The issue isn't the holster. I just can find no truly equal gun in the sum of all aspects of carry. Some come closer than others, but the 19 just n...

Re: EOTech recall

Have you experienced any of the issues stated as defects in the CAL? I have not experienced any of the reported issues. My EOTechs have all been excellent. ...but if they want to give me MSRP to return it, I'll return it...and then buy their improved products for less money than I paid for the 553.

EOTech recall

I'm unable to process the RA form available on the EOTech website. It appears that Foster Settlement is handling this issue but I'm hoping to confirm this isn't just some internet scam so that people send in their sights.

may even add an "Angry White Guy Hour" Why play the race card? Content, not identity, is the measure of media. Kind of a private joke between Ben and I, not a racial show. I had told home once that listening to him rant, I had to name him "Alt Righty Whitey, the Angry White Guy"...
