Re: New Glock model - G45

You can get it either way. I'm not a big fan of the three dot night sights though and find two dot acquisition to be faster.

I also greatly prefer green over red; it just catches my eye better. When I bought my ACOG I ordered the green.

I equate this sort of thing to like those two girls that share one body. Something when wrong in the embryonic development.

Re: New truck

I like my Ram 2500 with Cummins, but with my last Lance camper and boat behind, I wished for a 1 ton dually, and the total load was less than 7000 lbs. 401415920062274.jpg Is the issue with being single rear wheel, or is it your gear ratio? I have a 2015 Ram dually with 4.10 gears and 865 # of torq...

Re: New truck

I'm always happy to share my experiences and the opinions they form. I'm a truck guy; I currently own six (me or my company) and rotate/buy/replace trucks every year. While I'm primarily a diesel truck owner, I do like to keep at least one gasoline truck around for when winter gets really brutal. So...

Re: New truck

I definitely recommend upgrading to at least a 3/4 ton, if not 1 ton. If you use it to potential, it will last as long as a half ton truck. If you use it like you use a half ton truck and are typically running around at 10% of its capacity, it will last "forever" with proper maintenance. I...

Re: AR's with 7.5 & 10.5 inch barrels?

I have a Sig516 pistol with the 10.5" barrel. I bought it as a travel gun that I could manipulate from the cab of my truck if need be. The 7.5" would have made it even easier, but the problem with that is that when you get below 10" you lose so much velocity that you essentially at th...

Re: Taming the .45-70

They used to give me opiates for it and they made a night and day difference, but since the crackdown they don't want to prescribe them anymore. To get them now I feel like I have to beg so I don't even bother. I've heard the same though in regards to herbal treatments, and that's where I'll leave t...

Re: Taming the .45-70

Cortisone and yeah they also warned me about too many injections. But when I get an injection it doesn't even last two weeks before it hurts again. That was the entire problem was that they don't last long enough to make it worth the trouble.

Re: Taming the .45-70

Easiest help I'm sure is a more giving recoil pad. Different ammo ( heavy grain Remington ) may help and still provide accuracy. I'm ordering a LimbSaver for it and will start there. I don't expect to neutralize it. I mean, it's a huge cartridge. But if I could tone it down a little where I can sta...

Re: Taming the .45-70

I find myself just shooting smaller rounds like the 243 more and more. I'm in a similar situation. To make the .45-70 even more brutal, I'm having a rotator cuff issue again. I had the surgery twenty five years ago and they don't think operating again is the best option. They want to give me the in...

https://s15.postimg.cc/o9f3phl0b/4570.jpg I got the opportunity to fire my new tractor gun (Marlin 1895GBL) and I'll get into that experience next. First I want to state that I fell in love with this rifle the moment my hand touched it. The fit, finish and overall craftsmanship are what I would exp...

Re: But He's Our Savioooooouuuuuuurrrrrrr...

Do you really think Trump had anything to do with ISIS getting wasted? Syria and its allies (Russia and Iran, for example) have put far more heat on them than the US. I absolutely credit Trump for destroying ISIS. To win a war, you first must want to win it. ISIS was created as a result of Obama po...

I still think that Milt Sparks builds one fine holster....but you order it and wait for four to six months for it to show up. The King Tuk does the same job with comparable comfort and you can have it immediately.
