The New Jersey Highway Patrol has determined that their new Sigs are unreliable. They filed a lawsuit and went back to their Glocks.

Re: Carjacker killed by armed victim at gas station

Can't believe the cops were plain clothed and didn't identify themselves before drawing. Me either; in a gun friendly state he would be shot dead and I can fully understand why. If you cut me off in traffic and jump out of your car in plain clothes with a gun in your hand I see you as nothing more ...

And then there's this one. While the truck was marked, WTF is with drawing for no apparent reason?

If the rider had been armed and trained he may not have gotten the chance to identify himself.

Re: Carjacker killed by armed victim at gas station

Good utilization of cover, but he seemed too worried about not shooting his own car. If in the same position, shoot him through the window. Now I've seen the video where the off duty cop approaches a motorcyclist with gun in hand and no identification. That one could have ended much different.

I don't buy the communication error for a second; when you are at that level of legislation you don't make mistakes. They took the exemption offered until public backlash and now they're claiming "oops, our lawyer didn't understand". What crap.

Re: Thread Split - Usefulness of Night Sights

I found it to be starting when I presented that I couldn't see the sights and paused for what seemed like several seconds at the time trying to aquire some sort of a sight picture. That needless to say was the last time I carried a pistol without night sights. I think that leaves very little left t...

Re: Bought the wife a new truck!

The V10 I bought has about ten little hail dents. Nothing major, but enough that it catches my eye. What is the warranty on that like? I know if you spray the bed it's lifetime, but what if you do the whole truck?

Re: Bought the wife a new truck!

Man Mike, that looks great! I may consider this option myself! I picked up an '02 V10 2500 last month just to play with and hot rod and the next step is paint. What did getting this done end up costing you, and do they spray the door jambs and such?
