Perhaps you're right. Seems like an awfully convenient distraction from this joke we call an election.

Re: The fate of AR15s?

I think we are going to see some major legislation pushed in the wake of this one.

Don't be discouraged quite yet. New guns, especially semi autos, need a break in period.

Re: M&P Shield in .45

I'm a big fan of my Shield in 9 and since I've somewhat recently added a 1911 to collection I now have a fair stock of .45 ammo. WHY do they have to keep coming out with stuff I want?

Re: Magazine preferences?

While I'm on the fence as to whether or not I'll actually carry the Springfield, I went ahead and ordered two WC mags. If I ever do decide to carry it or at the very least need it for any type of self defense situation, I'll have the two WC's at my disposal. While the mags that came with it have wor...

Re: AR15 pistols

I know I'm a little late to the party but have you seem the the pistols Armalite has to offer? They're very compact and actually have folding stocks (gun wont fire with stock folded). I know unfolding a stock is one extra step in readying a firearm but they fold to where they can be stowed just abou...

Re: Magazine preferences?

Funny you mention Wilson Combat, I was looking at some of their parts today for a beavertail grip safety and I did look at their magazines. I thought $35 was a little steep for a magazine but then again Wilson Combat is a premium brand. Perhaps I can find them a little cheaper elsewhere.

Re: Ruggedizing the Rimfire Firing Pin

Or you could just get rid of those "other" .22 calibers you have and just stick with the 10/22?

Magazine preferences?

I recently acquired a Springfield 1911-A1 in stainless as a Christmas gift from my brother. It's a used gun, not sure how many rounds are through it but its well broken in. I think I've shot around 300 rounds of FMJ through it thus far with no issues of any kind (other than the dreaded hammer bite)....

Model 60, 1911 and M&P Shield holster options

Looking for IWB holster options for a S&W Model 60, Full size 1911 and M&P shield. Any insight on any of the aforementioned pistol holsters is appreciated, i.e. brands, clip options, leather vs. kidex vs. hybrid.

Had to shoot me down just like that. I was ready to trade in all my nines. Just kidding, .380 is still more expensive than 9 and harder to find.

Modern Ammo. .380 moving up in the world?

While I am fully aware of the forums stance regarding the .380 cartridge and I am in no way condoning the usage of the caliber for any purpose other than fun at the range. This article suggests that ammo manufacturing has progressed so much just in the last few years that the .380 is reaching veloci...

Re: Question

What type of pistol are you working with? IF its a Glock chambered in .40 an excellent option is the keltec Sub 2000with Glock compatible magazines. However, while I enjoy pistol caliber carbines of which I own several, the school of thought (already mentioned), if you're going to carry a rifle migh...

Pretty much what everyone else said, you're basically jarring the the slide lock when you slap a mag into it causing it to release.

Cool gun. I have a type 99 carbine, that my Grandfather brought back from the war. It's got the mum in tact, and still has the dust cover. It's one of my most cherished possessions. Anyway, it's a sweet shooter. Hardly any recoil, and very accurate. Hornady makes ammo for it. Thats quite the heirlo...

Arisaka Type 99

I went to Cabelas with a friend over the weekend not really expecting to buy anything (Im sure more than one of you can relate) I came across an Arisaka Type 99. It was sitting rather inconspicuously on the used gun rack with a few various types of surplus military rifles. I gave it a good look over...
