Re: Taming the .45-70

IMO surgery should be your last option. Every time I’ve had knee surgery I was always a little weaker afterwards and that never came back. I’d look for some physical thearpy options before going under. Seconded. Nate, check to see if there are any good chiropractors and naturapaths in your area. I ...

Re: But He's Our Savioooooouuuuuuurrrrrrr...

US involvement in Syria has been minor compared to Russia's, and more importantly, Syria's. Laughable to suggest that "Trump defeated ISIS". He showed where his loyalties really lie in bombing Syria over a fake chemical weapons attack - with IsraHell. Remember that the Golan Heights contai...

Re: But He's Our Savioooooouuuuuuurrrrrrr...

@Fishfinder - A significant percentage of the things you mentioned have nothing to do with Trump. Another significant number of them are hardly commendable - support of Israel and Saudi Arabia being just a scratch of the surface. Note Trump's Muslim travel ban does not effect Saudi Arabia and Qatar ...

Re: CCW carrier shot by police after gun falls out of holster

Even if you could tell "who" was "who", whatever happened to a "freeze"? I assume that in the course of trying to retrieve his gun, the man was not pointing it at anyone. So was there an immediate need to fire? You'd better be damn sure you know what you're doing before...

Re: CCW carrier shot by police after gun falls out of holster

That's extremely unfortunate. No way to take back a bullet fired by a panicky cop with no sense to evaluate a situation or solve a problem without shooting.

Re: Killers inspire killers

No one here is saying that video games are THE reason. But a reason? Probably. Just like the movies and TV shows someone watches, the music they listen to, the books they read, the religion they practice, and the people they associate with, video games influence people. Many years ago I indulged in ...

Re: Killers inspire killers

I don't think video games are the culprit, but all the other stuff you mentioned probably are factors. Why not? I don't think anyone on this forum is suggesting we ban video games, but we have to remember two major things here. While a single game in itself is not likely to result in a violent pers...

Re: Brazil defensive shooting caught on camera

A lot of Brazilians want less gun control. Unfortunately, get ridding of gun control once it's in place is a lot harder than preventing gun control before it takes root.

Brazil seems like such a violent country. Good thing they have such strict gun control there, otherwise it would be "just like the wild west".

Lousy New Laws in Vermont

Most of us know that Vermont has long been one of the best states for gun owners, with no-permit concealed carry having always been legal - for both guns and knives. Last month Vermont's mental-enslavement gang (I mean government) passed a law prohibiting private sales of firearms between anyone oth...

Nylon or Canvas Mag Carrier

Can anyone recommend a quality double magazine pouch for double stack pistol magazines that is available in nylon or canvas instead of leather, and uses a snap closure instead of velcro? This is for everyday concealed carry, not any kind of competition or "tactical" use. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, they want to ban semi-automatic pistols and rifles.

H.R. 5087

Make sure you are all up on this one (H.R. 5087) since it bans virtually ALL SEMI-AUTOMATIC FIREARMS.

If you're not a member of the GOA, now is a good time to donate heavily. It will be catastrophic if we let this slide.

There you go. Donald Trump shows once again that he is not our friend. The idiot bombed Syria, passed the MACA Act legalizing agencies' using your electronics to spy on you via cameras and microphones, wants to tax middle Americans' gasoline purchases, and is now showing his true colors (again) on g...

What are the benefits of it? Home brewing is like buying from a private individual. There's no government paper trail as through an FFL. Point's kind of moot though, since most of them are bought online and there would be a credit card transaction record or similar, which would probably be seized i...

Racking the Slide

I've never found a reason to abandon the "old way" of racking the slide - that is, gripping the cocking serrations between the thumb and the side of the index finger and using a pushing motion of the frame against the slide. It has always been more natural and feels much stronger to me tha...

References to Zhao’s nationality, echoes of the 2007 mass shooting at Tech and more recent national immigration debates have swirled around rumors of weapons stockpiles and warnings that students should stay away from large lectures. Racist much? Tech was shot up in 2007 by a student of Korean (not...
