Re: Hide your guns?!?!?

When you think it's time to hide your guns, it's time to dig them up and put them to good use. For this country!~

I just sold my 8 inch for $2000 that I picked up in 1983 for $250. I hated selling it but needed the money.

Re: What's the situation where you live?

Yesterday evening I was able to pick up 3 boxes of 325 count Federal .22 LR at Walmart. The Cost was $18 a box that comes to 5 1/2 cents a round. It's not as good as 4 cents but I can live with it.

The young lady in question was not armed and was asleep on the couch in typical night clothes (not much clothing) and temporally staying with her parents after a separation. You can bet my wife and I suggested she needs to arm herself and we both wonder why she didn't have a weapon close. One proble...

Re: Old Timer w/ respect to Compound Bows

I do love what bowhunting taught me since I started using one back 20 years ago in 1995. Before then I had only hunted with rifle and muzzleloader. With especially traditional archery without sights or super let off compound bow I found I had to wait until whatever I was hunting was 20 yards or less...

I was doing a termite job today on a house for a mother taking care of two kids 7th grade and Kindergarten aged. We got to talking about crime and I asked her if she or her husband carried a gun. Her husband spends a lot of time working for Halliburton in Saudi Arabia so she is home with the kids by...

What would you do?

One of my wife's coworkers commented today that his 24 year old daughter was at his house sleeping on the couch (after a divorce) and she woke up to a strange guy setting at the dining room table with gloves on. She freaked out of course as he scared the shit out of her and she put on clothes that w...

I like the idea behind the Titan. As for the weight I'm very attached to my Delta Elite 10mm and it goes everywhere I do. It's never had a hiccup so I trust my life to it. `

I have a custom Chadwick longbow that I picked up about 22 years ago that is 59 lbs at 29". I also have a Martin Hatfield bow that I purchased from a friend with 70 lb limbs. A few years later after being worn out with those limbs my bow shop and Martin distributor sent it back to have a set of...

Re: Loving Henry lever guns right now

Back in the late 1970 and early 80s my wife and I owned a Winchester Model 88. While it was a fairly good shooter with 1.5" to 2" MOA accuracy it just was not the "typical" looking lever action. For me it just didn't look like a lever action rifle is supposed to look. The Winches...

Re: CCW holder gets assaulted, gun stolen in public restroom

There is just something about me that says using a crapper to take a leak in instead of a urinal is wrong but I guess I'm wrong here. Situational awareness says using the crapper in a stall is the safest bet. Here in Oklahoma they passed a law last year that if you have a concealed carry license you...

Dittos Pickwick, I'm right there with you. My wife brought her Westernfield 30-30 (Montgomery Wards rebranded Marlin 336) into our marriage 37 years ago and I know better than to ever trade it off. We picked up a Marlin 1895 45/70 back in the mid 1980 when I worked part time at Cumberland Knife and ...

I used to go round and round with Pinkhmr (Randy Pinkham) about friends don't let friends buy NC Star or any other of the garbage cheap scopes and red dot scopes out there. I absolutly hate spending those high prices on quality scopes but I won't spend the money on Chinese junk optics. Randy would s...

Your doing everything right with having someone load your gun with the random dummy. Sure is good to prove who is the dummy behind the trigger! :D We did the same thing shooting Silhouette and when we proved there was a flinch problem we would get them back to shooting the .22 and trying not to focu...

Well I just blew up the JPG and when I look at the pixelization between the different calibers it looks the same to me. It does however look like a little nuke went off in the gel.

10mm explosion chart question?

Nathan you posted a great chart with different shots time exposed (I assume) from 9mm to .45 ACP with 10mm on the bottom. I was reading a discussion about 45 ACP vs 10mm and one of the posters said it was a hoax. Now I've always been impressed with that poster and my 10mm but do you have any informa...

There are several much better AR-10 Type .308s out there. Of Course there is the only original Armalite AR-10 that you will never regret you purchased. I have a 1998 AR-10T made my Armalite and I will never get rid of it. It is a true 1/2 MOA gun. My other .308 semi auto is a Winham Hunter AR-10 Typ...

I own several Crossbreed holsters and also stepped on one accidently. I contacted Mark just wondering if I could get just the Kydex and fix it myself but Mark told me to send it in. One thing I've noticed is that with the compound bow boom their values don't really hold up. Seems every year there is something faster, lighter or more accurate. However traditional equipment like long bows and recurves hold their value nicely. When my back started acting up I swapped by compound b...

Very nice rifle, I like your set up. By the way I've never had much luck loading 75 or 77 grain bullet to fit in a magazine. Every time I try to crimp the cartridge the ogive is to small and it won't work for me. I do have some 75 grain Black Hills factory ammo that shoots ok in my Bushmaster Varmin...
