Early Production HK

i have had some down time over the last few days and i was doing some I&I on my pistols and realized i have an early production USPc Stainless. Its a KH date code (1997) with s/n 00065xx. I thought this was pretty cool as the USPc was first intoduced in 1996.

range finders are like glass, you definitely get what you pay for. personally, i am a huge fan of vortex and would recommend their range finders over the bushnell.

Re: .45 Raptor

it got popular in MI for a bit when the shotgun hunting rules were changed. Right now the 450 bushmaster seems to be the king of big bore ARs around here with many ive talked to who have adopted the round. it has solid performance out to about 300 yards on whitetail deer.

Re: Legal ghost guns

these are definately a buyer beware. yes is "untraceable" but the companies producing these DIY lowers are using inferior metals. Several reports have surfaced in the training groups i am in of them catastrophically failing due to inferiors metals. neat concept, its a shame that they cant ...

Re: Racking the Slide

it mostly depends on the gun and what i am doing. i will use the "old" method to lock the slide back on an empty chamber. I typically use the "new" method when checking to see if a pistol is loaded. to me, there is less vision obstruction when using the "new" method. I ...

Re: Winchester® Defender Tactical Safes

full disclosure, i dont own one but i used to work for gander mountain and sold a fair number of liberty safes. this looks just like a dressed up liberty to be honest. it has a slightly better fire rating than a comparable liberty (1400 degrees at 60 minutes vs 1200 degrees for a liberty). the locki...

Re: Dallas PD finds Sig 320 unfit for duty

you will see in this video that your statement of 100% failure rate is debunked. So where is the line? Is 95% failure rate acceptable? Is a simple majority enough to remove concern? It's still close enough to 100% that this magazine, who accepts advertiser dollars from Sig, would produce a video to...

With the Sig however, drop the gun 100 times in that same angle and you will get 100 discharges. I cannot see how you can equate this with mechanical failure?

Re: Dallas PD finds Sig 320 unfit for duty

i wonder how many times a dropped gun will land on that specific spot. Doesn't matter. The fact that it is in any way capable of firing when dropped is simply unacceptable in the modern world. A gun being 100% drop safe should be as standard as a car with seat belts. no firearm is 100% impervious f...

Re: Dallas PD finds Sig 320 unfit for duty

the government contract model has the upgraded fire control group which will be retrofitted into all prexisting p320 models which is apparently "safe" I think not only did they drop the ball on the original design, but the fix is a bullshit fix. They basically made the trigger lighter so ...

Why is the government model excluded from the upgrade? It's a feature for combat. You throw it at the enemy like a grenade and hope that it lands on the backside. https://s13.postimg.org/3nk2gsipz/grin.gif  you "ain't right" as they say. But I can visualize what you're saying. Flip i...

Re: Dallas PD finds Sig 320 unfit for duty

In all reality, any hand gun could malfunction and fire when dropped, even the beloved glock. This story really seems to be missing something. I've heard of the 229 equinox recall, what other agencies have returned the p320s? Not returned necessarily, but one such example is the ATF determined that...

my cabelas has 3 or 4 on the shelf. its comparable to an SP101 or a model 60 with a birds head grip. if i recall, its virtually the same size as a sp101 but with an extra round. it could be pocket carried but i think its going to be a tad to big and heavy for most unless you have really large pocket...
