That was heart warming. I don't want anyone to die but if someone must die? Let it be the bad guy!

Re: Video explains 2nd amendment
Kansas is very progressive when it comes to self defense laws. No permit needed for gun, or any kind of knife, heck i think swords are legal.

Re: Chicago Gun Laws
I have this friend who might go to Chicago. My friend has a concealed carry permit but does not reside in a state that Illinois has reciprocity with. If my friend went to Chicago would he be better of carrying extremely concealed or just hoping not to be killed by a gang banger?

Re: Real world scenario.
Thanks. Yeah I left the guy with the kids chased me down. Anyways, I thought about it some more and I have a kid so I understand his reaction a bit. Regardless, I didn't walk my dog but went down to the river and walked tonight. Was a very nice night and cool due to some rain. I saw a lot of people ...

Re: Real world scenario.
Actually the dog was being aggressive. It had a very intent attack posture, was quite large, and I felt threatened. But yeah, I see your point. I guess it is like when Ron White joked and said, "I had the right to remain silent I just didn't have the ability to do so." I didn't threaten an...

Real world scenario.
Out walking my dog near my house and there are these two young kids barely restraining a leashed large aggressive pit bull that is trying to attack me and my dog and I say to these kids if your dog attacks I'm going to kill it. Little history, my dog has been attacked three times by other dogs in th...

Re: Many lessons from this incident
First thing i do when i go to the range is fire my carry ammo. Then I shoot reloads or target ammo and reload my carry ammo. Cycles the ammo and makes sure the stuff I carry is going to work if needed. Never ever store or carry a gun with reloads. All my goto or carry guns are revolvers. Also, I hav...

Don't go to New Jersey. Don't drive through New Jersey. Don't spend money in New Jersey. Don't start a business in New Jersey. If you live in New Jersey or have a business in New Jersey, leave.

The average person really does need SOMETHING.
Amazes me how some people actually do not have any guns.

Re: Favorite backup guns
I sometimes carry my 43c 8 shot smith as a backup. 8 shots of 22 is not too bad at 12 oz loaded.
When that is happening its backing up either my .38 j or .38 k frame. Pocket carry the backup and owb the main gun.
And of course the shotgun in the trunk.

Quick get it while it is hot!
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=461914458 I saw this on gunbroker and I got my roommate and said come check this knife out. I just couldn't adequately describe it and I figured he had to see it to believe it. I'm thinking you probably wouldn't want to buy this bad boy and whip it...

Re: Sharpening Knives
I use the lansky crock sticks with box. And a smith's sharpening stone. Pretty much those two give me a working edge in no time. I don't keep my knives shaving sharp just sharp enough. Rough it up on smith's then lansky at 25 degree angle. I have a lot of knives. ATM I'm carrying a 9 inch Frank Belt...

Re: Friends & Foes
I think people are very polarized and they tend to enter discussion with one opinion and leave with that same opinion. Abuse of power and threats to 2nd amendment are real. But how we carry ourselves makes the difference in how others perceive us. I don't think any less of you for having two wives--...
