Re: Non support side shooting

When i took my concealed carry class we had to shoot as many rounds with the weak only and strong hand only. We had to be as accurate with the weak hand as the strong hand.

That "97 will twist and come apart into two pieces. I have one that was in bad shape when I got it. Mine is 12 ga.
That Model 12 is very good condition. I had one in 16 ga I gave to my youngest grandson.

Re: Home security cams

So far it is working good. I have yet to test the distance of the cam transmitter. There are instruction to take note of location of cams. Says if they have to penetrate cement, concrete blocks or metal bldgs. then the distance will be affected. My house is of concrete blocks. I have a cam in my add...

Home security cams

I've been mulling this over for some time now but it became necessary in my opinion last Sat. I am in the process of remodeling my bedroom and was staining the hardwood floor. I was expecting my renter to bring the rent and as I raised up near the front window, I saw a white car pulled up next to my...

Re: Ruggedizing the Rimfire Firing Pin

I'm gonna simplify this greatly. I recommend you simply purchase an additional pin in advance to have on hand for when your primary pin falls. I still have my childhood Marlin .22 tube fed auto with the squirrel on the stock. I've been shooting this rifle for 40+ years. I cannot imagine the hundred...

Re: AR15 pistols

It has a folding wire stock that he can open out to brace against his arm. Does he have it registered as an SBR (Short Barreled Rifle) or is he running it renegade? I have no intention of installing a stock because that would be illegal, but I'd like to have options in case of SHTF/TEOTWAWKI/apocal...

My son has a Sig that he bought several years ago. He loves it.It has a folding wire stock that he can open out to brace against his arm. He also has shoulder strap on it. You won't be disappointed.

Re: Black-out Ram

Well, you got past the first scratches in a hurry. You are right on the paint job. I can spot a repainted fender or door when a car is driving by. The metallic does not match. I had a painter tell me that there was no way of telling how the metallic was going to lie while painting. I all goes in a d...

Not taking up for them but Kahr recommends a 200 round breakin. I had one malfunction when breaking in mine. None since.

Re: Back to Glock

I understand. I have owned a G19 since around 1990. Carried it exclusively for 20 + yrs, even before it was "legal" to do so. Then as I grew older I wanted something smaller, so in came a G26. Then several yrs later wanting something smaller, I got a Kahr CM9. I still pull the 26 or 19 out...

Re: What is Your Primary Carry and Why

I swap back and forth between Kahr cm9 and Glock 26. Neither have manual safety which I am not used to. I do have some with man safety but not in my carry rotation. I'm afraid my old memory will forget if I need a weapon.

Re: Old Timer w/ respect to Compound Bows

I shot a recurve when I hunted with a bow so I had to quit reading. I used to get my arrowscut to 28in and custome fletched with broadheads and field points of the same weight, all glued in a fiberglass shaft. I still have some. But I've got too old to pull the 52lb bow back and hold it now. It is a...

Re: Developing a flinch

I too havebut mine is self inflicted. I can't believe at age 72 I am starting to flinch. I try to consciously hold steady but after a while I will jerk or push the gun when I pull the trigger. I wish I could blame it on something else but I can't. I've just got to work it out.

Re: Sig P938 sas

I have decided to pass on the Sig for the simple reason that I have always carried striker fired weapons withe exception of my Colt 45. I am too used to just pulling the trigger. I like the fact of no safety at all on the CM9. I dropped it the other day out of the kolster while lowering my pants in ...

Re: Sig P938 sas

Thanks, guys. I started 20+ yrs ago with my G19 for 20 yrs, then went to a G26. Carried it for a while, then went to a Kahr CM9. While I like the size of the Kahr I don't like the long trigger pull. I saw one of these Sigs at a gun show and fell for it. Haven't ordered one yet. Close to it. Yes, HKg...
