Re: Machete attack

Looks completely justified to me.

I hate that his defense attorney used PTSD as a defense, it is a real thing but seems to be the current fad for people

Re: Load binding

Chris is right on for what you need to do. I am not sure how you'd fair if a DOT cop takes a good look at what you're planning. A single ratchet system is something I'd stay far away from, yeah, it may be quick to tie down if you get it to work right, but it'll be just as quick to let everything loo...

Re: Unloading shipping container?

Nathan, we regularly move shipping containers like this from job sites and put them on lowboy trailers using a local tow trucks heavy duty rotator. There are other options like the Jacks you have pictured above or a beam setup with Jacks from the bottom. We set one up using air jacks and plumbed the...

Re: Friends & Foes

Guys, I'm here and check in occasionally. I post where I see a need, sometimes I just don't see them all. My problem, other than the big meaty claws, is I'm currently working 70ish hrs a week and then coming home to do my farm chores. Just doesn't leave me with a lot of Internet time. I've noticed w...

I swear by these sights for a carry gun. Combat accuracy is very fast and they are extremely easy to get used to and see in low light. Great purchase, you'll love them.

Re: Snubby revolvers sure do kick

But are you really getting your money's worth if you keep practicing past when the pain starts and you learn bad behavior for the next 80 or so rounds?

Seems counterproductive to me

Re: Snubby revolvers sure do kick

Sorry, I didn't bother to read all the comments, but I did notice you said something about 70 rds with a snub in practice. Something I wish more people would realize, is you don't have to overshoot on practices. 20 rds of good practice is more than enough. After that you falter on bad judgment and p...

Re: I'm a bad gun owner . . . .

Generally I clean after any range practice and about every month for my edc. I will however use compressed air to blow the dust off quite often. I use grease instead of oil because it doesn't wick away into the clothes. I pocket carry my revolver as well, as far as corrosion goes, I have scandium an...

I think it's a good step, for the better.

A lot of things need to start from new so they can grow stronger. I think we purged a lot of the goofballs and hopefully will continue on goofball free :-D

The snow/ice builds up on the step while I'm driving (even with flaps) then when I get out I don't expect the step to be covered in ice.

maybe you shouldn't let your vaginal flaps hand down so low

Nathan, we've used those steps a couple times at my work. Personally, I'm not impressed with their construction and lack of function.

Re: EDC Light

it's a little large for your needs, but I have a couple of Streamlight Stinger HL lights. I keep one at work and one in the truck at all times. They are a little pricier between 150 and 180 but they come with two rechargeable batteries and a charging dock with AC and DC adapters. The HL light has 64...

Re: if u can only have one long gun...

I think I'd have to go with my Mossberg 500 and bring two barrels. Technically it's still one long gun, but with my 24" rifled barrel, it'll toss a copper sabot accurately out to 250 yds, swap to my bird barrel and take whatever bird, squirrel, rabbit, etc. In a happy world, I'd walk off with e...

Re: Who Would Defend Their Property From Looters?

I'm in the middle of BFE down a long driveway. If you're trying to get into my home for whatever reason, just know that the locks are on the doors for your safety, not mine. Locks only keep honest people honest. I have loved ones inside that I will assume to be in danger if you're breaking in and I ...
