Re: if u can only have one long gun...

I won't argue that its a great gun (I'd love to have one!). My '94 chambered in .44 Magnum is my favorite rifle hands down...I love the thing...but if I could only own one rifle I wouldn't limit it to a 100 yard gun. In the SE a 100 yard gun might be a good choice...I slayed countless white tails wi...

Nazi Hi-Power Questions

I've always wanted a Nazi Hi-Power with appropriate stampings and matching numbers and I'm considering bidding on THIS ONE before the auction ends in three days. I have two questions before I start bidding, one involving this particular Hi-Power and one involving the Hi-Power I really want. First qu...

Re: Skinny Guy CC recomendations

The whole "tuckable" concept is somebody's idea of a sick joke in my book. I've tried it. My friends have tried it. All of us are varying body types from skinny to fat. It never worked for any of us no matter the holster. I've toyed with the idea of a Crossbreed holster but not as a tucka...

Re: if u can only have one long gun...

If truly limited to one long gun only the choice for me is an AR10. That said, don't limit yourself to one long gun unless you really have to. If your house is on fire and you've only time to grab one, grab the AR10...but unless your house is burning down around you don't limit yourself just to save...

Re: Commander 1911 options

I spent a little time browsing the <$1000 1911 options out there and I really don't see much to get excited about. Ruger makes a cast 1911 that I'm sure functions as reliably as most any other 1911. Remington has a few upgraded options that you can get under $1,000. Springfield still has a few but t...

OK; try out the permissions changes. Over-lapping permissions can be difficult sometimes to configure and its easy to make a mistake. For example, when you join the forum you become a member of the "Registered Users" group but you also become a member of the "Newly Registered Members&...

Not applicable; you can return the gun back to 1911 spec by simply swapping out the grip safety without having to machine the gun.

Saw it. Ignored it. No 1911 purchase should be a price-point purchase. Shop for quality and value instead, even if that means saving up longer.

Over half of the traffic here comes via mobile phones and that is the real reason why traffic got so slow on the original forum 1.0; it just wasn't mobi...

No; I've concluded there is no better pocket carry option available, in my opinion. I carry other guns too when I can, but I always have a J-Frame .357 Magnum in my pocket. It just fits. Well.

Re: Damn, I have to start all over

I had added Tapatalk then removed it after learning of a security breech in the Tapatalk format that they tried to bury instead of announcing. At this point at least, I have no intention of adding it again. The mobile function on this software works pretty good with the SE Square Left style.
