Re: Best sights I've found

Trijicon HD's are really starting to grow on me. I don't like that the ring requires charging from a light source. If you wake up in the middle of the night in a dark room (precisely when you need them to work most), the ring won't be charged. That's my primary rejection of the HK glow in the dark ...

Re: Chasing the holy grail of carry

you could get a G20SF and chop the frame to a G29 and then have the barrel flush cut to the slide for 10mm or the 21/30 mod in .45. Have someone do grip slimming/reduction work on the frame and viola your nearly perfect pistol with a barrel that is .2 inches longer than spec. My issue with the Gloc...

Re: 41 Magnum love

Wiki touches on it, but doesn't get nearly deep enough. I guess the better question is, why don't you own a .41 Magnum? Why don't I own a .41 Magnum? I really have no answer. in the realm of predominately reloader only calibers and really very nitch calibers i want a .357 Maximum more  The...

Re: Why you should reload

Gotcha. So the dies are the main cost of a new caliber on progressive. Since I already have those for most the calibers I shoot it shouldn't be too bad. How do you like the horandy press? I don't know much about the progressives except I don't really want to pay for a Dillion set up. my hornady wor...

Re: Get me started?

get the ABC's of Reloading. it will cover everything you need to know and then some. If i were to do it over again i would get Dillion Equipment. Their NO BS warranty is just that. If your only looking to load one caliber, the SquareDeal press is the best value. I can get you pointed in the right di...

Re: .45 Shield - no OEM night sights?

with it being a "new" model your not going to immediately see all of the different options found on the 9/40 models that have been out for a few years. Give it time or source your own night sights if you have to have it now.

Re: Why you should reload

$100 for a new caliber? What all do you need other than dies? I'm still rocking a single stage but have looked into a progressive for plinking ammo for the ar's and handguns. Ill still keep my single stage for the long range loads but if it cost that much for a new caliber I might be better off sta...

Re: Why you should reload

. Then you get hooked on trying to load the most accurate ammo you can and spend way more on quality components than you ever would buying factory ammo. But it's fun. that not been my experience. my pliniking ammo is half the cost of factory, if not cheaper. I only reload pistol ammo (9mm, .38spl, ...

Re: Reloading starting guide

The keys to keeping prices low is buying components in bulk, but you can really only do this once you have your pet load figured out. the second key is to start saving your brass NOW!!!. my cost figures do not account for brass, i started my brass for almost a year before i started reloading and did...

Re: Reloading starting guide

I shoot too much to try to reload for everything, but since getting into single action shooting sports, I'm going to have to load my own. you dont need to reload every caliber you shoot. but if you got a progressive, you could load a few calibers like 9mm, 40, and 45 and crank out quite a few round...

something like this might work and probably something you could build yourself for a fraction of the cost. and you could custom make them to fit your safe. http://www.manaboutracks.com/Pages/handgunracks.aspx https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/30/76/b9/3076b9db2ac13803f0f833e87c4a482c.jp...
