Re: FIRE

That's very unfortunate. At least no one was hurt.

Re: Sig malfunction

I think this mystery is solved!

I've gotten so many deformed and otherwise defective rounds (mostly deformed headstamps, even had one that had no case rim) from them that I just gave up buying that stuff years ago. Were I in your shoes, I wouldn't be the least worried about the gun itself.

Re: Sig malfunction

Actually I was wondering what kind of ammo Nathan was using that jammed the Sig.

Re: Sig malfunction

What kind of ammo were you using? And what had you been shooting in it previously?

Re: Quick access safes

Personally I think a safe with a key lock is best for quick access, so long as you keep the key on you. Better still is just keeping the pistol on you all day. What if the intruder you need the gun to deal with breaks in between you and your bedroom? At that point the best quick access safe in the w...

Re: G26 or me?

Hi Smurf. Personally I would suggest shooting from the hip at 3 to 5 yards and seeing what gets you the best accuracy, if your main consideration is as a concealed carry gun. Long shots may be necessary and I think the accuracy you stated at 10 yards is more than adequate but most self defense shoot...

Re: AK47 vs SKS vs Mini 30 questions

The Mini-14/Mini-30 are some of the handiest rifles I find. They fall into that category of "just right" in my opinion. However I'd take a good AK as my first choice out of these. Hard to beat for reliability, but that's just my take on it.

Arcus 98DA

The Arcus 98DA 9mm Semi-Automatic Pistol A while back I posted an in-depth review on the Hi-Power inspired Arcus 98DA 9mm pistol on the Hi-Power Forum. This is more or less an edited version of what I've posted over there. I own a few of these pistols and generally carry one at all times for person...

Re: Browning HP as a carry gun

I've found this inexpensive pancake holster to be an excellent option. http://www.holsterama.com/molded-leather-pancake-holster/ For only $40 it's an absolute steal. While it doesn't have the same level of finishing as a Galco or a Bianchi, it works just as well as the more expensive ones and holds ...

Re: if u can only have one long gun...

I like the lines of reasoning on this thread.

My personal choice would be an AK-47.
