Re: Kansas moving towards no permit

Nope. If "Latelle" is not a felon, he should have every right to carry the gun...shouldn't need a permit. If he's a felon, he doesn't care...he will carry it anyway, if he so desires. Permits are just another form of "show me your papers". Exactly. He doesn't give a shit about a...

Kershaw bolts

Dang. I have a Kershaw auto folder where the tiny little bolt clips had started to come loose. I have SAE micro hex wrenches that didn't fit. I then bought a set of metric hex wrenches and they were unusable as well. I searched Kershaw online and found they use Torx. DOH! Yep, I now own a lot of tin...

30-30 ballistics

So can anyone give me the lowdown on 30-30? I'm looking at a lever gun. I know it's the standard deer load, and they tend to be very available. Pro's and cons? Better options? 30-30 vs. 30-06? I know we bashed this around on our previous platform, but I was sleeping in class.

About 5 years ago I decided I wanted a .357 rifle. That was about the time I started to find none for sale anymore.

Re: My "carry uniform"

Way to go Ron! I started my "post holiday" diet program in October this year and have dropped 30 the last 3 months. All I really have to do to lose weight is walk a little farther each day, eat a salad for lunch, and leave the beer alone. Six-pack abs are over-rated when you can have a who...

Re: Off body carry can be tricky

I think many here agree that off-body carry is not ideal, but sometimes it is necessary (like for a third gun...LOL). The Wilderness Safepacker is an awesome accessory. It holds your piece, an extra mag, has a velcro'd strap so you can attach it to your belt, your car seat belt, or I use it on my ba...

Re: Hello again from south Mississippi...

As I travel this country, there are three states in particular that have surprised me as my preconceptions have been destroyed . The first was Oklahoma. I rode my bicycle thru there a few years back as I wandered from Seattle to Tampa, and I found it to be a very diverse and beautiful place. The sec...

Cool. I think after all the veterans are reincorporated back into the fold, the new layout will also attract some desirable new personalities and opinions! I might even have to float another new DC ID past those knob-jockeys and drop a hint.

Welcome Stu from a fellow musician in SC. I play trumpet and sing a tad. What is your primary instrument of interest (in music as you listed the ones in firearms :) ) I'm primarily a guitar/bass player/singer, but I dabble in lot's of things. I sing in a couple of adult choirs, and conduct two chil...
