Re: I've got the itch it seems . . . .

I carry my 442 a lot, and the finish holds up well. I was concerned too, but no problems after 5 years.

Re: Welcome to CCF 2.0

Nathan, thank you for your time, expense, and dedication to this website. The new format is OK, I don't handle change well. It will take me forever to qualify for more access, I don't have textural diarrhea like some others. Please tell me how to display my location under my NOOB avatar, I can't fi...

It would seem that a single gun cannot "do it all", and a man (or woman) needs several. :D

I'm on my phone but I believe that's a deer stand. Could be a tree house. I do not own one of those fancy new rifles having always had traditional ones, but I may have to get one. Looks like fun.congratulations.

I wipe mine down with a silicone or gun cloth weekly, touch up with remoil every three weeks where rust could be prone to start and take down after shooting or when it appears a relube is required. Just curious, you are using a pocket holster? And a quick edit, I do love the smell of hoppes # 9 in t...

I did not buy a Colt 1851 Navy at a gun show in 1986. To this day I will kick myself. You can always sell or trade it. Its an investment.

Another "Grand Torino" type episode, no doubt. An old dude living in a rough part of town. Glad he came out on top.

I have not shot the .40, but I own the 9mm, and its a dream, espically for concealment. I prefer my Glock for capacity when possible.

Re: New kid

You can't go wrong with Glock, Springfield, or The Smiths. They make quality and more importantly, stand behind their products. The Shield shoots great, is easy to clean (although take down is a little different), and two sizes of mags is a plus.

I won't post a photo of my Chevy truck. It is blue like yours, but has some "character" from hauling and working on the farm. Everyone needs a truck.

If we don't, who will. Pillagers and looters would have to come inside to get anything.

I too use the Dillon Plan B, but you must hold on to it with your life. I think it is best suited for vehicle carry on the seat beside you.
