Seven - NOT gun shy

We exposed Seven (eleven months old, now) to gunfire for the first time yesterday and I couldn't be more proud of how he handled it. He didn't understand what was going on, but he wasn't afraid of it and wanted to make sure that my daughter was safe, refusing to leave her side. He never attempted to go downrange and just stuck right by her side throughout.

I think girls enjoy shooting more than boys when they have a chance.
Maintain the sport. Take a kid shooting.

He is my seventh German Shepherd Dog, but I actually named him after the HK P7 M13. Initially I was going to name him Leonidas but as a puppy I didn't think he would live up to the name; I was wrong. Leonidas would have been perfectly fitting, but it's too late now.

Right because we all know changing a dog's name results in severe repercussions.

"Seven" probably thinks you are the dumb one for not using the name his mother gave him.

LWP, are you suggesting that Nathan should name all his dogs "Woof" and "Arf" then? :?

I'm sure dogs know their original name, and that of other dogs, the name given by their mothers at birth. How would you like to be called something which is not your true name?
