Weak side carry

My rotator cuff is acting up to the point that I can't raise a handgun high enough to see the sights. This leaves me with weak side carry for awhile; I'm thankful for all the weak side training I've done.

Are you carrying on your left hip or using a vertical shoulder rig? Those can be very handy for a left hand draw.

Injury?

It's a recently agitated injury from twenty five years ago. I purchased a left handed OWB holster to accommodate.

I had the surgery. If you can effectively use your weak side, put off surgery. My 2 cents.

My sympathies. I had a surgeon ready to cut but who recommended a little time with a physical therapist. 10 years later my shoulder is about 90% of capability with no surgery. I suggest (if you haven't already) find a good PT and put follow instructions. Good luck.

I carry a pistol on either side in case my dominant hand gets taken out in the middle of a firefight.

A weak side that carries a handgun becomes a strong side! Hope you get well soon Nathan.
