Post by HKguy » Mon Mar 15, 2021 9:55 pm

I am looking to get my first high end 1911. currently looking at a Evo-K9 by Ed brown. I recall a few members collecting a few of these over the years. any advice for ordering?

anybody have eye candy they want to share?

I've never heard anything bad about Ed Brown. What kind of wait time are you looking at?

I ended up going with wilson combat, getting one built based off off the xtac commander

ed brown was at about 7 months and wilson is 10-12 months.

You can never go wrong with a Wilson; what caliber did you order?

That is so sweet! I'm considering one in 10mm Commander, now.

Finally got out to the range and put about 100 rounds down range. The trigger broke cleanly like a glass rod, as one would expect from a finely tuned trigger. Recoil was mild and very comparable to my STI spartan (38 oz v 43 oz respectivly).

The sight picture was amazing. The wilson combat novak sight provide for a quick target acquisition and make follow up shots a breeze.

Over all, well worth the money and I would do it again when funds allow.

Here is my wife's first shot at 7 yards
