Springfield and Rock River Arms have both issued statements now blaming a "failure in communication" for agreeing to go neutral in order to get exempted from the new law. Springfield is back-peddling hard on Facebook, but the former customers aren't buying it.

How can a firearms manufacturer not be pro gun? Its like cutting off a leg before a triathlon.
Maintain the sport. Take a kid shooting.

I don't buy the communication error for a second; when you are at that level of legislation you don't make mistakes. They took the exemption offered until public backlash and now they're claiming "oops, our lawyer didn't understand". What crap.

Springfield's ILS (the Taurus key lock gun to club conversion) was sell out enough for me many moons ago. I told ya so!

Extrapolating a bit, isn't high time the Federal Government wacks more local jurisdictions for abusing civil liberties such as the God given rights and State barriers preventing citizens from commerce across state lines (for instance purchasing products such as insurance and tools, including guns)? How warped this country has become!
Best regards,

Tye
