Thoughts on bulk folder purchase

Postby Abyss » Wed Jan 07, 2015 8:27 pm

Kicking around the idea of purchasing 10 or so decent folders to stash in vehicles, bobs, office, etc. emergency knives when the edc goes missing. I don't want to break the bank. Not looking for edc quality. Any recommendations on a decent lock back folder for $20-30?

Are you talking about zippered gun rugs?

No. I wasn't clear. Lockback folding knives. My edc folders are 80-100 bucks. Looking for a decent knife for 20/30.

Here is a review on the model I owned and lost somewhere. It is very light and good steel. Not my review but this knife came to mind when you mentioned good cheap folder.

Read a good review on this just yesterday. Searched for it online and realized it was on sale at my local Gander Mountain. They had a whole rack of them but I only picked up one. I'm liking it so far. Looks like just what you are looking for.

I have 2 of these, very well made, thick blade for the size. Holds an edge well and opens very ergonomically, no fumbling, just push the flipper and the spring assist takes over.

Do you mean any locking knife or strictly lock backs?

All of those suggestions seem to be what I was looking for. HKguy, I might take you up on your offer if I go that route. Thanks.

Ontario Utilitac II. There's no better value at around $25-$30, and it comes in several flavors.

EDIT: Sorry, this is not a lockback.
