Getting fired in more ways then one

Gives a whole new meaning to the term "You're fired".

I have a feeling Terry L. Howell was prepared for the possibility of getting shot at when he gave this guy his pink slip.

People seem tense in Florida.
Maintain the sport. Take a kid shooting.

The morale of this story is-- either wait til after the holidays to fire someone or wear a bullet proof vest?

Too bad they both had concealed carry permits. That is a very unusual thing for one of us to flip out and start shooting. A smaller percentage than cops. BUT the liberals can't get their mind wrapped around that.

That's true but the possibility is there. You just never know how someone is going to react when they realize they are going to lose their livelihood, especially in tough economic times.

Like I said, I have a feeling the victim in this case was mentally prepared for such a thing, and that's why he was able to survive this without injury even though he was the second one to draw.

Indeed. A man already living on the verge of poverty doesn't require much of a push to snap. Poverty is the only thing I fear.

The 911 operator sure sounded like a union employer. Not supportive, not sympathetic. Just neutral, "OK," "OK." You could imagine her playing solitaire during the call.
