No manual trucks?!

Postby nemesis76 » Thu Feb 05, 2015 6:47 pm

So I have been reading up on the new Colorado that Chevy has reintroduce, and I love the design but find disappointment in the fact that the 6 speed manual only comes in the base 2wd four banger. I was really hoping tto be able to get it in 4WD due to my moving back to Massachusetts. Any recommendations insofar as trucks with manual trannies? Seems they have all dried up in the last few years.

Yeah, good luck with that. Unfortunately, the younger generation never learned to drive a stick, and can't appreciate how enjoyable it can be. So, truck makers are playing it safe and just doing automatics.

Makes me very sad, considering I'm only 23 and it's only gonna get harder to find anything with a proper manual in anything other than high end sports cars I'll never afford lol

With a manual transmission, a knee surgery, shoulder surgery, or broken foot can leave you walking. I read about the Colorado, but it seemed awfully expensive to me.
Maintain the sport. Take a kid shooting.

I think dodge still offers a stick in the big trucks. Ford did away with traditional manuals in everything but Mustangs a couple years ago

It seems dodge is the only one that still puts it in the HD series even Chevy stopped doing it. There should at least be the option even if it isn't a huge seller, there are people that'll buy it.
